Actually, the demo enjoys itself much more (and you will, too!) if you have a i486 and a Gravis Ultrasound card (thats the new demo soundcard, guys! Go sell your SoundBlasters to the local lamers). This demo has been timed for a i486/33Mhz with a TSENG ET4000 video card. So if you don't have this configuration, and the demo looks shitty, don't blame us. If you only have a lousy computer, like a 286 with a EGA card and a SoundBlaster PRO16/ASP, sell your car and buy a new one, visit your nearest "friend" with an i486 or pay the local computer shoppe a visit. ┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ -= M E M B E R L I S T =- │ └────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ [BitFreak] - Coding [Metazor] - Coding [Zax] - Coding [Ford Prefect] - Coding [Patch] - Coding [Lord Logics] - Coding [Flavor Flav] - Coding hmm.... We released it because we felt we needed to release SOMETHING before Assembly'93 (we don't want to show up there as total strangers). The two main parts of this demo were originally planned to be released along with the TPC Easter Demo 1993, but since I quit TPC, and didn't want to give Phoenix my source, I assembled this small demo. It has been 'fleshed out' a lot since The Gathering 1993, and I'm quite satisfied with the result. (Yeah sure, all critics are welcome... send them to my address below...). The somewhat strange name of this demo has a simple explanation. Since the TPC demo was named 'Virtual Bullshit', and this demo was based on some 'leftover' parts, not to be included in the TPC demo, I called this demo 'Virtual Leftovers'. Yeah, stupid, I know... Send me all your hate mail. Oh yes, by the way... If you have NO Gravis Ultrasound card, you will probably wonder about the somewhat big delay at the start of the demo. Its no bug or something. The delay was included as an added effect in co-operation with the music. Buy an Ultrasound and see for yourself. Many thanks to Cyberstrike / Renaissance, whose music system (GUSMOD) we are using in this demo. Without his tremendous work, this demo would be silent, and Gravis would have made a lot less profit. Keep up the good work! There's nothing more to say... hope to see you all at Assembly'93!! ┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ -= A N N O U N C E M E N T S =- │ └────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ Avalanche is a new group, and needs more members.
