this time we have some high-energy delivery for you.
the main content of this demo was put together during the last week right
before evoke, while the engine itself was started from scratch around
mid of july. as usual the schedule was tight and a lot of compromises
had to be made (e.g. no MSAA support).
some technical features in this release:
- physically based shading with prefiltered cubemaps (UE4/Karis-style)
- GPU-based particle system (2.5M particles simulated in compute shader)
- FFT-based syncing and animation
- gamma-correct rendering and post-processing
- custom tool for cubemap prefiltering (irradiance, GGX)
