In Tutankham, the player controls an explorer robbing Tutankhamun's
tomb. Search for maps, lamps, chests of gold and jewels, and above all
the golden mask of King Tut, while fighting the creatures guarding the
catacombs.
Guide the explorer through increasingly difficult mazes. Movement is
possible in four directions, but shooting is limited to left and right.
Warp zones teleport the explorer between areas of each catacomb.
Creatures including crows, snakes, bats, dragons and other magical
beings materialize from spawning zones. Destroy them with bullets or a
flash bomb for 20 to 60 points. One flash bomb per life clears every
enemy currently on screen.
Collect keys to unlock the treasure room on each stage, then proceed to
the next stage. Optional rings and coffers award bonus points. If the
timer reaches zero, the explorer loses the ability to fire. Remaining
time is converted into bonus points when a stage is completed.
After recovering King Tut's treasures in every stage, the game restarts
with greater difficulty and more keys to collect. An extra life is
awarded at 30,000 points.
