@Gargaj: Haha yes, I did a lot of rocks/water on ShaderToy too. But I was never satisfied with the result. Maybe this time I can move on something else.. maybe not :D

It looks really really natural and i totally dig the color palette and the shape is superb! However, the shallow depth of field makes it feel like something is off with your physical camera and took away the impression a little bit. Rock solid work though! :)

totally mindblowing :) one thought I had during the compo was that the scale seemed somehow off - perhaps the frequency of the waves is a bit off compared to the scale of the rock details? or perhaps it's the DoF settings like pro mentioned.
