to execute the downloadable .app file you need to run following commands in shell:
chmod +x /path/to/TheDrop.app/Content/MacOS/TheDrop
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /path/to/TheDrop.app
chmod +x /path/to/TheDrop.app/Content/MacOS/TheDrop
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /path/to/TheDrop.app
