so, what was the trick? :)
16 bytes well spent. :)
the trick is a) combining mov ah,0x0C and and al,32+4 into or ax,0CDBh and b) changing mov al,0x13 into add al,0x13 and reuse it. That saves one byte and maps the colors to something good looking :)
win for the size :-) 8 Byte...may be for that we could do a kind of semi random code generator already and see what happens ;-)

I really don´t know if it makes sense to subdivide anything smaller than 64b...would have released with 17 bytes already! ;)

In C++ 16b is equivalent to one Color in standard Integers (INT==4Bytes each, RGBA=4 INT) btw, haha! :)
