In-game colors, oof. :) Thumb for more games for Plus/4 and looked & sounded good overall!

Oh, one thing that bothered me already about the predecessor: Compared to the (great) landscape graphics, the player character itself looks rather... flat. Dunno if this is a design decision/personal taste, or if this has a technical reason, e.g. because of the way you emulate sprites.

Player character looks very flat indeed. Otherwise seems like great work considering the platform.

looked lovely on stream =)

Kylearan: entirely a platform decision, very technical reasons (just remember the color clashes on different platforms). Would be nice to have all the colors for the sprites, though (that would be so awesome).
Now almost just 2 free colors for the player and 3 colors for the foos.

It's a cool engine and everything, but the lagging really is a bad hit on playability, and to me allowing the character to go offscreen while the scroll lags behind is a mortal sin in game design :P - in the end, a thumb it is just for the huge effort behind it.

Thumb for the effort and execution so far, but it seems there's a bit of polish yet to do.

should've ranked higher!

I appreciate all the effort but the scrolling makes me dizzy!

This game is simply PERFECT! Unbelievable big screens which have never been on the 264-Computers. Even the first level seems to be very comparable with a Turrican world from C64, for this machine normally impossible to handle.

Thank you so much as well for answering my prayers to add an option to disable the fastloader. Now the game runs perfectly on SD2IEC-Hardware!!! The only unpleasant side effect are the gray screens during loading the game which leads to the fact that you can read the story text only very short. An option to press fire before entering a level after reading the text would be very cool.

@Bauknecht: Is there any change to add the No-Fastloader Option also for "Majesty of Sprites" later??? Then I wouldn't need the 1541 disk drive at all any more. :-)

@Paralax: Hey, I added a No-Fastloader Option to Majesty of Sprites already. You can download it here:

PARALAX thank you for your kind words!
About MoS running on SD2IEC: you probably didn't follow the evolution of its 4 different versions to download ;)

I totally agree with giZMo^fr here. This should have ranked higher.

Thumbing this up if just for the superb pixel gfx. I keep misreading the title as "The Lands of Zados", calls for a remix maybe? :)

break I've been part of this game developing and tested its gameplay...and keeping misreading the title exactly the way you do! And can't stop doing it! :D

@ Luca & mad: AWESOME! Thank you so much!!! I added some news to our Facebook-Website for "Zador" planned for today 16:00 CEST:

Also I wrote a small review in german here in our forum:

Is already tried to get in contact with "mad" via "CSDb" but no response yet. Is there any chance for an interview via Skype for our next show on saturday, the 2nd April? I've planned a Revision 2016 show & videostream starting at 20:00 CEST from our website and "Zador" will also be a part of this show.

Would be really cool to answer some questions live during the show. Please let me know wether this would be possible with anyone of you. You can contact me any time from our website or via CSDb:

Best wishes and keep up the really good work!
unusual gfx quality for this platform

Technical definitely very well done.

But I don't like the too busy landscape graphics. The character should stick out, not vice versa.

@mad: If you read this before the show today, please let me know via Facebook wether you can give us the interview today. I still have no reply after our last talk this week.

Thank you!
Thanks for the interview PARALAX!

Very disappointing. Zero playability, zero sense.

At least looks and sounds nice, for several minutes.

A shame.

Totally what I really love with platform games.
It's like I discovered Twinworld or Elf again on Amiga. I'm going to be busy with all those gems.
Love the tunes, amazing they works well with sound fx without mute, 2 channels?!?
The +4/C16 rulez hard!
