Haha, nice! Now show us that it's really a demotool and code a demo with it! :-D

I love that!
nice asm :)
It was going to be more elegant, but all I managed was either a COM file with just "Z" in it, a COM file that generated an exception, a COM file that produced nothing, or the ever popular COM file that printed out its own ASM source but bookended by a shitload of gibberish.
I spent several hours just getting to the point where I decided to go back to what you see above. I'm going back to C. :P
Code:
MOV AX, 0200
MOV DX, 0057
INT 21
MOV DX, 0045
INT 21
MOV DX, 0020
INT 21
MOV DX, 004C
INT 21
MOV DX, 004F
INT 21
MOV DX, 0056
INT 21
MOV DX, 0045
INT 21
MOV DX, 0020
INT 21
MOV DX, 0043
INT 21
MOV DX, 0055
INT 21
MOV DX, 0042
INT 21
MOV DX, 0045
INT 21
MOV DX, 0053
INT 21
MOV DX, 000D
INT 21
MOV DX, 000A
INT 21
MOV AX, 4C00
INT 21

In short: ARGH! but also, I suppose, it deserves a thumbs up for at least working, even if I don't understand it. Though I don't know that it necessarily deserves the GUS category tag or demotool, until someone actually creates one with it that does more than print some hard-coded text.
Brilliant
Can we please stop calling things demotools just because they require user input?
Please note that stating in .nfo Turing-completeness can be realized since 1962 with as few as 4 mnemonics) in the non-mathematical usage "that any real-world general-purpose computer or computer language can approximately simulate the computational aspects of any other real-world general-purpose computer or computer language".
Curious about DSx mnemonic I looked on the Internet :
"1.12. DSB, DSW etc - Storage Reservation Intel ASM-96 syntax: [label:] DSB|DSW|DSL|DSP|DSR expression" src.
In last resort this cannot even be used as an initiation to language programming for example.
I really wanted to thumb this up, but poor choice of mnemonics (no add mnemonic while 3 mov mnemonics MOVXX,YY STOB STOW), lack or original ASM-96 reference/credits, dubious techno babble about Turing-completeness and lack of greets while obviously riding Girl Basic 2K momentum (same month) make it a thumb down.
please try to credit original author(s).

unusual thingie thumbs :)
neat, seems to work
Took me a minute of staring at the screenshot to realize what you were doing. Nice one!
Next step is to recreate Ken Thompson's compiler backdoor in 512b.

No time to play with it, but looks there is some nice effort here.
=)
Orby I regret having thumbed this down initially. I cannot reverti but if I could I would turn it into a thumb up.
