Thanks guys! It's nice to see some positive feedback even though I had to release this prod unpolished due to time running out (three evenings wasn't quite enough to achieve what I had in mind). I'll release the final version in a few weeks.

Excellent! Great instruments.
The melodic ostinato is a little too difficult whistling though.

The song is... crap, at least composition/arrangement -wise. It was made in about an hour, mainly an experiment in sound design with 4klang. A lot more to come though, the capabilities are quite vast :)

Love the sound anyway =) Visually okay, too

noby: you need to make a youtube tutorial on 4klang sound design

I actually thought of that the other day ;)

Hm, the visuals look like they come right from the quarter finals of a shader showdown compo, but with more garish colors. Not my cup of tea.

The tune is quite good though, at least what I could hear - the tune just stops at a random point in time when I run the intro (the visuals continue to show). :-/

That sort of thing happens if realtime overtakes the music rendering position... Nowadays it's common to put 4klang or other music system in its own thread and give it an audio buffer long enough for the entire demo, wait just a few seconds so the audio rendering position is well on its way, and then start audio playback and the demo, even though the audio buffer is nowhere near completely done yet. Usually this works just fine, because CPUs can render the music faster than realtime, even with the demo running at the same time. If you CPU is too slow, or single-core or something, then it can happen that the playback position catches and overtakes the rendering position and starts outputting the empty not-yet-filled part of the audio buffer. I.e. silence.

Thanks yzi for the explanation!

Boring colors in this one and I feel that this could've been much smaller for what it had. Intro seems to have this basic modulo object space(I actually don't know what the correct name would be) morphed into stuff.
Apparently much can be done by rotating, stretching and so on! Music has nice instruments but as noby told us song is rushed and I can hear that.

With better color scheme, it would've been worth a thumb up. Now a piggy.
