can't be real. everybody knows 8bit consoles can't do 3D!
Awesome!
@wysiwtf: I was about to correct you about "8bit consoles" but you are half-right :)

i know and i was joking ;p
Awesome to see this released! We did a small excursion to Japan earlier this year, meeting up with Chris and he gave a quick demo of this, cool stuff :)
Awesome !
Once again, Chris delivered.
Looks cool. I'll try it out on my TurboGrafx later. I hope it runs ok on PAL hardware.
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just by looking at the screenshots I guess I'll have f-zero's music in my head all evening.
Technically this is a really great milestone but the playability/controls, especially through corners are awful. I'm crashing grom one side of the street to the other witouth the feeling of real control.
Also the street shows a curve but the background/parallax-layer does not scroll which kills the immersion.
I also like the music - when used properly PC Engine can do much greater sound than the Sega Mega Drive.
With a little bit of tweakin in the controls this can really become one of the greates scene productions on the PC Engine. Looking/waiting for an update!

So it's possible to make an F-Zero clone on (very beefy) 8-bit hardware, which is not too surprising. But this is, at best, a bland tech-demo with bad controls, a terrible race track, no content and no fun at all, a pure "vote by screenshot prod" unfortunately. :|
