There was a lot of stuff in this demo, but that's mainly because of it's length. A fairly standard lo-res software demo, but the engine seemed a bit slower than others I've seen.
heh, that's mainly because my optimizing skills left something to be desired :)

There are sometimes problems with the speed, but this could be my old machine's problem. Good FX, nice music, very stylish.

YANSCWD (Yet Another Non-Subpixel-Corrected Software Demo)...

Funny how there's MMX-asm scrolling through the screen, but no subpixel-correction... Don't you want to learn how to write a stable rasterizer before you optimize it? :)

Lack of subpixel-correction happens a lot, I wonder why... And I think it's unacceptable for any post-1997 production. If you really want to use software, make sure you know HOW... Else just use hardware, so we don't get your slow, buggy, wiggly lowres stuff on screen to annoy us ;)

Anyway, just had to get that rant off my chest, because I've seen too many YANSCSWDs... So it's not just about this demo...

Now something that IS about this demo...
Yes, lots of stuff, music was not bad, but it got a bit repetitive because the demo lasted rather long. Effects and objects were generally nice.

are you happy, Scali, now that you've been prove once again that you know what subpixel-correction is?

i have to back up sagacity's statement here. this is one of druid's early 1-man productions, and nobody actually gives a shit if it got subpixel correction or not. fact is that this demo was made and released, and even tho it's appearance is not very mature (which is pretty normal given the circumstances under which it was made), that's something i haven't seen you doing until this point in time.
