I hate this random noisy videos and, in general, all these manifestations of pieces in which you never know if the result appears that way because the people behind wants to or because a random effect adjustment in after effects....

merlucin: since you dont know if they're random or not, why do you judge them as if they were? also, in case it was random, whats so wrong about adding entropy to a creative process and publishing the results when they're interesting? perhaps you're just too used to people making such things to make fun of others, minimalanimal legacy catching up on the rst of the spanish scene.

i liked it atleast. missed some more lower freqs in the middle of the video but it was still nice.

Random noise is just randomly structured.

“The moment you think you understand a great work of art, it's dead for you.” - Oscar Wilde :)
alienpdx, i'd love to hear some examples of this 'structured noise' you are talking about? also, how do you define noise?

Wierd as hell, I kinda liked it. It's not something I would make. That's why I "kinda" liked it.

btw. nice soundtrack, would be nice as a very loud ringtone...lol

liked it. the screenshot alone deserves my thumb. i wonder what this one would feel like with a very subtle ambient soundtrack ... you know, contrasting the aggressive visuals.

ps: There is nothing wrong in adding entropy to a creative process and publishing the results, independently of they are interested or not. Just take into account that the the pouet thumb icon indicates if you like (or not) the prod.

I didn't like this one, but I respect the people that enjoy it, of course!

ok maybe i was a bit harsh with my mondaymorning-and had no coffee yet-thumb, i love everything thats different ('weird') and am a huge against the mainstream-pisser, but this particular one of yours just didnt trigger my buttons. i found the title incredibly cliche too.

And the definition of (structured) noise.. we could argue about that for ages i guess ;)

the high hissing sound and clicks didnt give me much enjoyment either, other than getting a extremely annoying feeling of wanting it to turn off... much same like this track from "The Shitfly Experiment" , 100% random noise.
(everybody who says: no thats not random! its sequenced! go f yourself ok? ;)

but on the other hand, crap like this shameless plug of my own cybergrindproject, is what most (normal) ppl tell me.."thats (structered) noise!" (& everybody who says: no thats not noise! its just crap!!! go f yourself ok? =)

also,

Noise music is music composed of non-traditional musical elements, and lacks the structure associated with Western Music. A noise musician may incorporate, for example, tape hiss, manipulated recordings (e.g. intentionally scratched or skipping vinyl recordings), machine noise, feedback of various sorts, non-musical vocal elements, etc.

Practitioners themselves do not generally refer to it as "Noise Music"; they just call it "Noise", tacking the term "music" on the end is an obfuscatory device only used when talking to those unfamiliar with the genre.

couldnt say it better myself. so i stole it from the wikipage.
