although the speccy128 stylization breaks the illusion for me - something like late-80s BK-001x software design would work better ;)

This is a good satire.

I very much doubt the premise though - there was no place for a demoscene in the late Soviet Union (past-1930s era). It would have been probably rolled into the "degenerate bourgeois art" together with other forms of avant-garde art and condemned as a waste of time and effort.

Not to mention that most Soviet computers had been designed for "serious stuff" like helping a spherical schoolboy in a vacuum do their homework (without sound!), and only partially met the actual market needs.

But one can dream...
