This is my first intro. It's pretty simple and it suffers from programmers art but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

pretty decent for a first timer. a number of the effects looked like they could be really interesting if not for the godafwul colors :)

supportive "okay then" thumb up

kernel stop errors are not funny.

Some of the effects/ideas were preety original and a surprise. I enjoyed it!

plek, kernel stop bugs are a bug in the driver, on the OS or faulty hardware. You shouldnt be able to bluescreen from usermode. Now please shut up.
added on the 2002-09-22 23:41:36 by mac mac
mac, it's pretty damn well possible to trigger kernel stops (these drivers *seem* to be controlled by Direct3D/OGL, which *seems* to be in the hands of a program running in user space, and besides that, i've succesfully tried a few times to trash the Windows 2000 SP1 kernel as hard as i possibly could). A second argument would be the question why other software utilizing either Direct3D or OGL has been running reliably on this personal computer for a long time now.

Either this is stupid coincidence, or it's the software providing the drivers with a few good blows in the stomach.

I'd opt for the latter.

So next time you want to look smart by "dissing" others with theories adapted from the Windows design scheme, which as one of it's targets had to make sure that what happened here indeed was not caused by the software, please doublecheck reality against theory.

And i'm not going to tell other people to shut up in a serious manner. I leave that to other sceners who are quite keen on writing buggy English ;)

oh and p.s, i made my first statement so perhaps the producer of this production could fix a few bugs. besides the kernel stop part, i also experienced 'faulty' graphics output. this is something that can always occur, certainly when it's your first production that's actually being shown to the masses.

so, no diss, just a little signal.

some nice effects!

plek, if u read what i wrote, it would be clear that the kernel stop looks like a bug in the driver, triggered by the demo if you wish, but a bug in the driver nevertheless

this shit crashed my w2k so I had to click reset. don't like that all..

A little uneventful, but excellent for a first attempt at a 64K'er. However, the intro disabled my triple-buffering as I noticed a lot of screen-tearing

I'm looking forward to your future releases :)

nice csg and radial blur scene.
However, some scenes were not able to be seen.(bug of driver?)

Ok, that was an interesting one. Nice usage of R2T etc.
Btw, don't trust the screenshot, it shows the by far ugliest effect. :)

About the colors.....guilty as charged :)

Im sorry to hear that it crashes on some systems. I dont really know what to do about it cause the intro works on all w2k and xp systems I have tested.
Also I should mention that it requires MMX, but i guess nowadays everybody has a computer which supports that. I must admit that I havent tested the intro on TNT cards so it probably doesnt work on them. 32 mb of vram is required and support for rendertargets and cubemapping....i dont remeber if the TNT card is up for that.

Some visuals are nice, but the intro looks like an assembly of uncorrelated effects... of course, this is very oldschool, but... you know what I mean.

"this shit crashed my w2k so I had to click reset. don't like that all.."

how gay, i'm not the only one.

now mac,

for starters your remark was written in a way that showed off clear tendencies to 'prove me wrong'. besides that, i do not believe that a stable detonator driver will cause a stop error out of itself when treated in a normal way. this way we can easily conclude that the software has triggered by faulty treatment, and the only thing in this situation i'd like to agree with you on, is that the self-protection scheme of the drivers at hand has flaws and/or isn't sufficient.

these still aren't real driver bugs ;)

cool intro (except for the textures :) ! it doesn't work with d3d-debug libs or my w2k machine at work.
