4gentE: A sampler is not a sample PLAYER like the Amiga, it is a sample RECORDER, and in the case of the Amiga, that's external add-on hardware with recording software - just to clear things up :)
4gentE: I see what you're getting at, but I've never heard anyone call the Amiga (at least in 1990-94) an audio sampler, but that it just plays back audio samples :)
