yeah, probably what sounds best. not familiar with the software, but there would be no weird distortion if you recorded them all as different samples! -
the answer is obviously as "as many as you need". E.g. if two samplesp per octave reproduce the original sound close enough, go fo C and F# for each octave that you want. -
