optimus, enter at irc! -
Optimus... what the hell *IS* a CPC? :) And can it be emulated on PCs? (yes I'm too leim to use google) -
the first C seems to stand for Crap.. -
(Amstrad) CPC=Colour Personal Computer. An 8bit machine that never really made it :) - 2003-03-24

Iraq has been solidified -
Don You're rubish mate, Give it a rest -
Is a CPC comparable to a C64, specification/performace-wise? -
no way, hardware-wise, it's crap -
oi ownz -
CPC has a Z80 at 4.77MHz (i.e. a lot better than C64), but that's about it as far as hardware goes. very simple video chip w/out sprites or anything (and f*cked-up vmem layout besides :), the same soundchip as in atari st, and that's about it. -
Ah, okay thx. And we all know that the CPU wasn't the most important part of the C64 (or the Amiga for that matter :) -
The most important Amiga feature was the clicking disk drive. -
The Shovells, the best that comes from Belgium ;) -
Yeah,. but it's at 4Mhz actually (I think you confused it with the 8088 ;) No hardware sprites, line irq interrupts, but can do hardware at each line, like rasters, splitting, hardware scrolling but with some good cycle timing. I think the CPC to the C64, -
plz continue optimus :D -
thanks lai :) ,.. is like what the AtariSt is in comparison to Amiga. Btw,. my demo will not use any hardware tricks, but mostly few simple software effects, would be nothing serious in comparison to other 8bit demos, but will be great for me and the CPC -
Optimus, tell me how to run it on my PC when you're done :) -
especially for the cpc -
Optimus, please post the source code in the oneliner when you're done. -
If the source fits in the oneliner, I don't want it ;)
