Yup. These intros are why I had been envisioning the "Art Direction" award category for a while... this stuff matters. - All aesthetics matter. I mean that as both an argument for and against realism :)
- I agree, that's one aspect I feel in the demoscene still isn't even close to mature yet. In that sense I don't feel the scene is very artistically inclined.
- I wouldn't go that far. Scener's tastes just tend to be narrow and limited. Most don't look for inspiration from wide enough sources.

- Sure those tend to go hand in hand, but does that necessarily imply the result isn't good? I wouldn't be confident enough to make such a claim. It does tend to homogenizing things for sure though.
