brilliant, 4 gpus used to pull off rendering quality from 5 years ago. teh futar si now! (seriously, its quite cool if it works because raytracing is so useful for some particular tasks) -
and the screenies look rather bland... - smash, how come you're not coming to sundown? i bought you some chocolates :(

I read elsewhere that it was more like 5/6 FPS although maybe they were talking about a different tech demo. Also, this nVidia machine will cost you almost $11 US, i doubt intel's offering will cost that much ;p -
havoc, that's because simple raytracing DOES look bland. ou get automatic shadows and reflections, but no global illuminaion whatsoever. - Err, $11K that is not $11 O.o
- wont be it faster to use gfx card with architecture dedicated to raytracing? instead pf rastering / shaders stuff?

smash: 4 quadro d2s.. each d2 has 4 cards, each card has 2 gpus. It's not so impressive if you need 32 gpus and it still runs 'up to' 30fps :) - pete: because i couldnt go through another 3 days of meaty trying to chase me around like benny hill. the pervert. how many times do i have to tell him "no means no"?
