If someone were to create a TS-Conf in discrete logic - would it count as a real Spectrum then?
What is Pentagon to Speccy? It's a recreation of it, using different hardware dev techniques. Just like the TS-Config.
so recreating a 1982 computer with differences in 1990 and calling it a Speccy is OK, but recreating it in 2015 and calling it a Speccy isn't?
OK. So we can make an exception for Pentagon to count as a real Spectrum, because "cultural context". But we can't make an exception for TS-Conf, because "nonono, must compare the hardware implementation details objectively"

because it's hard to address RasPi hardware directly without an OS in between, nobody wants to ship an entire OS image with a demo, and nobody wants to use up an SD card just for one demo.
ripping a well-known waterfall animation without credits is shitty, but I'm not sure why it's considered *so* much worse than porting Bad Apple without credits </unpopular-opinion>
