Most people are either against it or don't give a shit. Only the worst nerds and technofascists support it. -
Try telling that to the worst nerds and technofascists… -
Forktime? -
I think you mean: pitchfork time 👩🏻🌾 -
coz we're getting back to the fields? :( -

interesting tech, boring for creatives -
As evidenced by https://csdb.dk/release/?id=265506 even when the definition for the label is reasonably clear ("Contains AI generated content") and the prod clearly doesn't fulfil it, apparently some people give a damn about the definition and slap the label on anyway. -
So we need two labels: for tooling, and actual content 🤷♂️ -
I think people see it as (AI or noAI), content or whatever. -
Of all the AI-related problems we are dealing with as a community, that view is the worst of them. -
If AI was used to make some coding, then it does contain AI generated content. -
Only if that code (or a translation of it) ends up in the demo. -
I somehow feel AI-labeling is some EU-shit. If you can't tell (or see) the difference between AI and non-AI, there will always be bad players. Also there will be trust issues. -

Trust issues from both parties. -
relevant point on "just a tool": https://deadsimpletech.com/blog/no-such-thing-as-just-a-tool -
Slapping AI-labels on test prods just elevates the tag into a benchmark, pacing the way for mass-produced AI trash to lower the status of pure, traditional human demomaking. -
NR4 has leading. All coders should read and understand that and then they might finally start to understand what the problem(s) with AI are… -
"just a tool" is one of the most common idea i'm arguing against. I use AI on my own experiments, but it's not "just a tool". The best (non-derogatory) word I can think of is "systems", plural, including this huge pressure from the extractivist capitalism to have AI in every layer of the society :( -
Waiting for the AI-bubble to explode … -
As much as I'm critical towards AI, and agree with the general message regarding the "law of the instrument" that article is full of ridiculous insinuations and conclusions based on those, talking about having a good point and completely failing it with your arguments... -
you should try Chongqing Laziji, truly. -
NR4: Enlightening piece indeed. The way tools (including AI coding tools) shape the creative process is for me one of the most fascinating aspects of demomaking.
