I really liked the first two movies on the big screen with heavy sound system - quite an experience -
In fact, watch the trailers. If they don’t annoy you / make you cringe, you might like the films. -
Good movies. Liberties taken with the source material. I've come to respect that. Totally NOT boring. Arguably the best scifi novel ever written. (I don't agree with this necessarily, but...) -

@tomkh: I know a guy who is completely put off by any CGI in movies or TV shows, he is just completely pulled out of them for that reason - we get it 4gentE wants to see a good Dune movie… the God Emperor of Dune it will have to be then.

movies that go from action scene to action scene are just so boring (for example dune 1 and 2) - Rob is right though the fremen don’t need bathroom breaks

My favorite scene in Dune 1 was when he said "they call it the sand walk" and then whistled the first notes from "Billie Jean" -
The Dune movies are awesome. All of them. My favorite one is the one with Dale Cooper.
