Playing fast and loose with technical terms predates Paula, so it has always "been" a "sampler". - The way it replays samples is very weird but interesting AF, though. Some kind of PWM/PDM... thing. Still need to investigate. =)
- And Paula needs more RAM and CPU than an unexpanded A500 to sing properly (pun intended)
