- @bsp: Not sure what your point is, but NZ seems to have scrapped the tobacco-banning law.
- point is, our "nanny states" (rightfully) don't advertise heroin (anymore). regarding tobacco and NZ: true but the UK are about to.
- And when has any prohibition actually worked. :)

there hasnt been a nuclear weapon used since ww2 but i suppose that's not what you meant by prohibition - ~70% of all smokers say they wish they'd never started. >90% never manage to quit. I think it's a fair deal: the current addicts can continue, the next generations will be spared.
