Enhanced version of the ASM'03 vocal music competition winner "Pearls" by aisth can be downloaded from www.aisth.com. Trust me it's much better! :>

Yes, it's a nice one. It lacks that 'demo music' feel though - which is definitely a good thing ;) I'll have to go through the other tracks there now...

I think that tune is probably the best you've released in that group so far, but the others are good too. Perhaps a minor criticism, is that the tunes all sound very similar. Although it's pretty hard to judge on these shitty pc speakers :) Perhaps a different balance in the mix between tracks could help there (eg. a double bass playing in some tracks to add more low-frequency could work with some, perhaps some instrument playing a melody higher up on others). Forgive me if it's already there and I just can't hear it :)

I think you could have some commercial success there too if you find the right song. Good luck :)

hmmm, winamp has started playing songs in random order even though shuffle is turned off. Just heard 'holy palmers' - that was what I meant by different balance in the mix :) A bit more variation like that.

yes. Perhaps too many instruments too loud and not enough dynamics. Overthetop mastering does that too. I'll fix it before it's pressed on CD... (not giving all the best for free ;)

if i had to put a "brand" on it, i'd call your style "a more musical version of "lamb" meets BT". :)

i enjoyed "box" and "four steps to emptiness" a long time ago, but this is better. keeps you interrested all the way through and the mix is good (although a little muddy in places, but hey - like you say; save the best ones for the cd :)
i especially like the melodic turns you use during the bridging parts, and the vocal is pretty darn heavenly.

(..but how much you evolve, you'll still be "onward ride"-jugi, for doing the best demosoundtrack. ever. everever.)

Jugi: I should have won, but the wicked jury just kicked me out of the top 9... I'll get my superevil revenge!!!
Or rather, I'll call a brokenarmed-drugdealer-karaokesinger-upgradedcardriver friend of mine and he'll beat the crap out of you.

A good music from Aisth, which clearly deserves the first rank ( but the compo level was quite low, imho ).

I truely loved this music. Very clear, very relaxing, very good. Little things are the levels on the chorus maybe ( vocals are too low ), and a noisy drum sample that sometimes ruins the others samples ...
Second, is that sometimes the vocals ( though beautifully sang ) are not well-timed, and doesn't fall on the right place.

But this is great quality, so big up ! :)

i don't think that this was one of the better aisth-songs. i've heard better stuff from you before; like the one that made you win the record deal, or your entry from last years assembly ..
