Well, no. Matematicians have agreed upon that 1 one should not be a prime number because so many theorems would have to be written with exceptions for 1, which is not elegant.
The simplest reason for defining 1 not to be a prime, is that you can't uniquely prime factorize numbers, since every number is divisable by 1, and an infinite number of times too.
