Which is the best prod you've ever done?

category: general [glöplog]
Its a tie between Bier, Concrete and Janne Ahonen for several reasons connected to the demo and its background. :)

Without hesitation, this one: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=109

Because working on all the seamless transitions with the trackloader in the background was one of the most enjoyable parts (although bitchy), maybe even more than working on the big effects themselves and also because of the fun we had figuring out fancy tricks to have some famous amiga effects running at 50 FPS with just a 68000 and 512KB without blitter nor copper ;)

And also because I just love that damn tune Mad Max gave us for the endpart.

i haven't done it yet.
Actually what was most fun making was the partyrapport from the Tufs+Creators meeting. We made the whole thing at the party and everyone was involved in it :)

Partyscroller by Creators and Tufs.

However. my best prod (that is released) must be my contrib to the graphicscompo at Solskogen 2004.

ah, that is an easy question. It will by far have to be this one: http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=18158
It was both challenging and fun to make and it is always rewarding seeing others enjoying our little "love child" as well :)

If I have to go for a more traditional type of prod I will probably pick this one: http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=13017
Although I really don't enjoy watching it anymore, partly because I have watched it like a billiion times during development and partly because it bugs me that I would do a lot of stuff differently if I had to redo it today.

GLrez because I realize an old dream to code myself a "real" intro =)

i think my favorites among the humble amount of prods i contributed to would be the throckmorton device or error 23.
vlspx would also be a nice mention, as it's one of the rare pc prods i did something for during the last years. =)

well that not that easy : My favorite are :

Born dead / syndrome on amiga
Shad 2 / cocoon on PC
And Raw confession /cocoon on PC

But as some say im working to change that !

One more thing , im glad people mentioned some fogotten demo I really like :

Raimo : Prospect is really great , i miss the Unique style

Hellfire : I was really impressed by Misguided when it came out at wired 97 ( and ranked 2nd while the first cocoon prod ranked 3rd ) but i never managed to see it again. Does anyone would do an win 32 version ?

i guess green destruction is prolly the best prod i've done myself, maybe random thoughts.. im not sure.
most fun prod to be involved in was impulse from nowhere since it was one of the few times i've worked in such a large scale and with a such big team.

It's quite easy in my case, because I haven't made too much scene prods so far:
1. POST by VeCTRONiX
2. Domino by Konfusion

The future ones. Of the ones so far, I'd say Fiat Homo, Ante Dominum and Eight Scenes of Human Life..

I think it would be either:

Goathack
Only ended up in second place at the not-so-great DH02 intro competition, but it got many positive comments here at pouet.

other option would be:

Monochromatic

The thing is that I'm never ever happy with anything at the time of the release, always thinking "man, this is some lame shit, why should I release it at all?!?".
But as time goes by I'm proud of most of the stuff (crap...) I've released! :)
