AAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!! HELP!

category: general [glöplog]

This thread will make sense now.

Help, it's so ANNOYING! It's the 6128th time it happens!!!

Problem: I still have the reset computer when I login the net but fortunatelly it doesn't happen every time I login. At the beginning I thought the computer resets because of electricity power problems. But no! It only happens when I login the net. While working and browsing the net, suddenly TSAF black screen reset. It can happen again 1 week or 3 days or every day after, but usually in a period of once per 2-3 days. When it happens once, I reset and relogin even for 10 hours and it never happens the same day again. It can only happen maximum once per day.

I put spyremovers and stuff, searched removed if there was some shit (but not much there), Spy Sweeper, microsfot antispy, regedit, every shit. Perhaps I will make another scan now or try to update my spyware progs., But wtf? Any other freeware spyware progs with very latest spyware definitions availiable you have to suggest? What's happening???

Sorry, this is a scene bbs (talking about Hasselhoff and Chuck Noris, that is!), but I was really really angry angry angry when this happened once again! Any suggestions?

Still sounds like a power supply failure to me. Maybe you're just online every time it happens? Also, are you sure your computer isn't overheating?

It only happened 100% when I was online (since 2 months I bought an internal modem and some card paid inet access). But now I am thinking it, there is a possibility it could be a hardware bug of the modem or something. Maybe I should try with another modem for a month and check this out..

Also, there was a time about one or year ago, that it happened if I recall well, while offline. This only happened when I first brought my PC online in Pixelshow demoparty and connected my network card to the net (I was never ever online with that PC before, it was the home PC without internet connection). Well, I didn't had spywareprotection and in two days it was full of them at the party. The at home, I was offline again but the reset happened still. I think I removed the spyware then or formatted my HDisk and the problem dissapeared.

And about worms? Which antivirus programms search and protect from worms?

Hmm,. I tried to search on google for modemblitz and just about every result is in hungarian language. Can you explain that to me? Wtf is modemblitz and why is it completely a hungarian phenomenon :)

unplug all of your USB stuff & check.

especially cablemodems suck over USB.

I'd suggest not using internet anymore

Modemblitz is probably a hungarian term then - it's an old method of sending old modems a certain ATH string which reboots Win98.

Change your DDR Ram. I'm around 90% sure that it's because of that. Power supply cant be the problem, otherwise it would not even be able to run windows or whatever is the os you run. Well, i had the same problems, and that's what i've made, and now everything is cool, and works.

Maybe it's just me but I don't get spyware, because I don't let it in. Even when I'm running Windows I an keep the shit out. How hard can it be...? Where was I? Oh yeah, that guy is using Windows!

I'm guessing the problem is either drivers, RAM or telepathy.

or simply your power supply just can't take more. as soon as the modem turns on it fails.

You can use http://www.memtest86.com/ to test whether it's your RAM.

Optimus,

Remove your CMOS battery for two minutes it will refresh your bios, But you'll need to reset your time and boot-up preferences.

I think as soon as you get online your computer dies from your WPM. There's a theoretical limit for characters bufferable you know :D
