Demoscene as a Religion

category: residue [glöplog]

Just in case you are interested.

I've had the following line of thinking today:

As a matter of fact, the demoscene has shaped my personal values very much (like: be productive; don't rip; appreciate creativity; regard non-sceners as lamers and stay away from them; use the English language to communicate with other people; don't regard foreigners as enemies; etc.).

As another matter of fact, I was brought up without religion. I am not baptized, so I am not Christian. I have never belonged to any other religious community, either.

What does that ACTUALLY mean?

It actually means that the demoscene is my religion!!

For this reason, I have now done the following thing:

At Facebook, in the "Basic Settings", in the field "Religious Views", I have entered:

"Demo or die".

This is actually the most honest description of my religious views...

Of course, I hope you agree that making a diskmag is an activity equivalent to making a demo. (By the way, I will finally release my first demo at Demobit 2019, in February. Stay tuned!)

Pro-Tip: throw everything away and start over. Somewhere else.

Another lame attempt at attention seeking. How pitiful.

I kinda lost my religion. I was very obsessed with the scene. Pouet was my church, now I just casually visit and only watch demos at youtube.
