What many of you may not know, is that the first thing the Bush administration did after being re-elected, is to adopt the name "Macedonia" for the FYROM (Former Yugoslavik Republic of Macedonia). FYROM was named like that after the split of Yugoslavia because Greece objected the name Macedonia. Macedonia was the state of Alexander the Great (you will probably see this in the next Oliver Stone film), it was always considered to be Greek and in fact the northern continental department of Greece is still called Macedonia. Greek officials and diplomats are actually protesting this U.S. decision as we speak.

Why should you care, you say...

Well, nosfe did not mention the Balkans in the next possible U.S. targets so I thought this was relevant enough. After all the Balkans have always been a favourite target for U.S. administrations.

China? not a chance. You do not bomb 1,300,000,000 potential customers and economic partners :)

...and an active nuclear power, I might add...

China? No, its market is too important and it is a nation which has really WMD (like the USA itself has). This could even start a conflict in India/Pakistan - Asia would be nuked away... :(

As we know, some North African and Middle Eastern (for the Panamericans the Far Eastern) countries support terrorists, no need to give names, they are all equal, they gonna all nuked down.
Just follow the pipeline...

Macedonia... Why do have greeks always to be pissed off when The Country Formerly Known As ... bla uses this name? When I look at maps it fits with historical maps, at least a bit. I wait for the day when people from Belarus are pissed of because Poland uses Poland as name even when it lost its eastern parts during/after WWII (and got "new" western parts).

I mean, it's ok when we are pissed off by ATARI, which has nothing to do with /|\ any more, but names of countries...
My bet goes to Iran. The troops are already in the area and suposedly Iran has a nuclear bomb in about 2 years time. Bush is never going to let this happen.

Selling this war is easy too, they're probably just going to blame Iran for what's happening in Iraq. First we'll hear stories about Iraqi terrorists being funded by Iran, being sheltered by Iran, etc. The rest is predictable.

oh ok lets see..

Lets assume that Austria splits up (peacefully or not), and the new country on the northern-western borders decides to call itself something like 'BAVARIA'..

wouldn't that be a bit 'suspicious' to say the least ?

btw don't count out the african states. Especially Nigeria. I see a big 'boom' happening there. And it could be a christians vs muslims thingie...

I bet Iceland. They need to occupy it so they can use it as a base of operations to save the evil seals.
isn't iceland in nato, so they already have us troop there?

i was thinkin here, that since they have been in africa, middle east and europe in the past 10 years, maybe it would be time for south america again.

In Bush's speech this morning he mentioned NATO, but NOT the U.N. So, which major resource-holding countries are in the U.N. but not NATO? I say Iran.

WORD!

Anyways, rather funny hearing some suggestions here.. Do you guys think USA has a great big military or something? China has twice the budget for military and their payment to soldiers are prety much nothing, what kindof army they have we don't want to know.

Anyways, dont be surprised if a new Bushadministered terroristattack against USA hits very soonish.

The war industry is essential to the american economy (15% or so of GDP from weapons sales if i'm remembering right), and no war = no weapons used = less weapon sales = bad for america. But, the american army is pretty stretched with iraq, afganistan, korea and taiwan, so I reckon a new war is a few years off still.

My guess is they'll send the CIA into some country to help start a war, so they can sell some weapons without sending any troops. And africa or central/south america sounds good for the location too.
