Revision 2012

Idea !?!?
What about having a little fee for sofasceners to support the stream? (Atleast us wanted to go but had no choice due to differents bad reasons).
I'd rather not have organizers spend time on issues outside the party, especially not for a paid obligation.

indeed! fuckings to sofasceners!
A 'DONATE' button might not have been such a bad idea.

I second the donate option
"Donations are running out! Donate €5 now to keep the stream up and alive for another 10 minutes!"
We actually planned to have a donate button in 2011.
But in the end... what gargaj said. Our energy is better spent on doing stuff on-location for our actual visitors.

And we appreciate those priorities :)
BUT! If you want to donate for a streaming service - why not donate to scenesat? They do great work throughout the year and could need a bit more support.

Although I myself was at the party several of my friends watched (or tried to watch) the streams. The streaming should totally stay and I wouldn't mind donating some bucks to help it.

actually it was perfectly possible to fix the server, but due to a lot of public *pointing fingers* and *blaming others* I decided not to give a fuck.

I like that reply, and I didnt want it to get fixed with all the IRC whining going on.

Streaming services are a privilege not a damn right.

Go masturbate about it.

THAT is the reason for things like Variform 2 to appear on bigscreens.

from the report
Quote:
The PC demo "competition" was composed of 18 entries, and I must say the truth, 18 uninteresting entries. Everybody already noticed that the trend of the whole society was consumerism, effortless, formatting, and else. Demomaking is more and more an illustration of these trends, and the consequence is that we often see formatted demos, no risk, a try to satisfy the public, get some applause, some thumbs up, and to be popular.

THAT is the reason for things like Variform 2 to appear on bigscreens.

Best reason ever (i'm serious!) - pointing fingers are the easiest way of not wanting to take responsibility for anything!

The evening ended with a LOUD live act by Knoeki. Music was really too loud to stay inside, and weather too cold to go outside!

i'm not quite sure if the writer of that report complained more about "loud repetitive music" or "demos that don't resemble cpc demos". funny to see fundamentalism is still alive in 2012!
