@Sauron thank you.

I haven't thought Sauron is serious. But I totally agree with yumeji. Making your own tool with your own ideas in it is worth more than hacking and reverse engineering one.

Don't listen to them, Sauron! They're just trying to stop you finding out about the secret undocumented flags.

Code:// .werkkzeug 1.201 project struct wzproject { // Magic number 'MODK' (K Document Object Model) uint32 magic; // Version of format (7) uint32 version; // Number of operators (on all pages) uint32 nblocks; // Number of pages uint32 npages; // Unknown uint32[4] unknown0; // Miscellaneous flags uint32 enable_awesomeness_to_win_the_compo; uint32 extend_compo_deadline; uint32 enable_russian_mafia_botnet_to_drive_up_popularity_on_pouet; uint32 hund; // Operators struct block[nblocks] blocks; // Pages struct page[npages] page; };

lol. What secret undocumented flags? What they gonna do without working code? I really dunno?! The 3 really coded "easter eggs" in WZ were revealed already and the other stringed functions aren't usable cause of incomplete or dead code. so...

The only "secret" flags that I know are that thing ryg mentioned once, activating an advanced set of mesh and model operators in WZ3TE via modifing the config.

I haven't tried to figure it out, cause it's pointless if you don't get anything out of the tool, other than textures. ;)

well done Sauron!
I think it can be useful :)

LOL, gasman.

I shall soon publish WZ3TE .k and werkkzeug.config formats. In spite of the fact that there is still many unknown fields, there are many interesting things in it.

Can you inject your own shaders in there?
added on the 2011-01-25 22:24:43 by xernobyl xernobyl
No, I cannot because modifying exe file is very difficult.

WZInfo — tool which outputs .werkkzeug1 file contents in textual form to console.

Hey, it's scenish 'back to the roots' for real!

unless you're working on your own tool i can't see the purpose on all that reversing

xernobyl, it is not tool, it is library yet.

This should help anyone ... how?

Punqtured, you will soon learn about it.
I can not yet speak, to keep the intrigue.
added on the 2011-01-30 18:50:53 by Sauron Sauron
I'll learn?!? Great! I've always wanted to be a coder ... ehmm ... no, I'll stick to music, I think ;)

Punqtured, if you want, I can publish screenshot now.
added on the 2011-01-30 18:54:24 by Sauron Sauron
wow, this is so plastered with unknowns, how is supposed to be useful in any way? I'm sure if anyone would want the structs, it would be the fastest to just contact the werkkzeug authors and ask nicely for them. I'm sure that would be less work and more reliable (i.e. without dozens of "unknown" struct members...)
Saga musix, it is intermediate version of file format, not final.

PS. I shall soon release werkkzeug.config file format, it is not so unkown.

So you're actually serious about this, Sauron?

Not only are you on the verge of discovering some 10 year old technology, you're also scratching the surface of what may very well earn you the "hysterical laugh of the century" at the scene.org awards 2011 :-D

I REALLY need to know - does it do YOU any good, or in any way inspire you to learn how to code your own demo-tool? Or do you believe, anyone here would benefit from you "discoveries"? ;-)

Take a brief look at intros released the past couple of years. Much of werkzeug's tech has been surpassed and I simply cannot wrap my brain around your "cruisade" against complete and utter failure ;-)

debris and fr-019 is not "complete and utter failures".

Where's the magic effect in debris, that has not been surpassed in later releases not using werkzeug?

And I still eagerly await the answer to the other - and to be honest - most important question. Do you learn anything from disassembling werkzeug, and what do you plan to release with this "hightech"?

Forget it Punqtured. He won't stop. Even tho it's pointless what he's doing. *shakes head*

I do not disassembled or decompiled .werkkzeug.

You will see soon.

werkkzeug1 was used to create fr-08: .the .product, released just over 10 years ago.
