Dicking as Dicking around, equal to Messing around, wich is pretty much a synonyme of anything anyone does on pouet I guess. Its not something negative

PS: We're having a BBQ on MAiN's Friday night, and every visitor gets one piece of meat for free. Nom nom.

Dude, think about the veggies, poor veggies, they are humans too!
oh kaneel... those humans responsible for 25% worldwide greenhouse effect!

Soya farming is chewing up the Amazon rainforest at unprecedented rates as huge areas are cleared to make way for massive monoculture plantations. In the Name of Progress, a film produced by Greenpeace, illustrates the devastating effects that the booming soya market is having on the world's largest remaining rainforest.

That's the spirit vegans! Don't kill cows, KILL PEOPLE!

Are you setting the Huge Screen deadline on Friday at midnight to be able to test the prods the night before they are shown? I understand the problem but it seriously puts a damper on partycoding. Since astronomical twilight begins at 6am on Saturday morning would it be possible to postpone the deadline to something like 3 or 4am? Or maybe you just anticipated the customary 2h on-the-spot deadline shift? :)
When i read this right the live-acts will not be streamed? :-(

Sorry the deadlines are not stretchable ...
We failed last year so bad with delays, that we want to keep the deadlines.

"just" a small test on the hugescreen is sadly not possible !

I'm not sure I understand correctly, you mean that you need the whole Friday night to test everything or that we're not allowed to test our releases ourselves?
the hugescreen controller is not an easy device.
we dont want to test the demos on hugescreen before compo, we have to process the releases and convert to special formats and for that we need time.

last year we failed and delayed becuase we underestimated the time we need for prepare hugescreen entries

so believe us, we need time to prepare hugescreen demos to show in time

Thanks for the explanation.

By the way, how does the aforementioned controller work? Is it possible to use the high resolution middle screen together with the two lower resolution side screens? If we provide an executable is it going to be played live or is it going to be encoded into video no matter what?
not live, only the middle section could be used live from composite input.
