Tool for capturing DirectX/OpenGL screenshots under Windows?

category: general [glöplog]

What the topic says. I gather Fraps can do this, but that costs money and is therefore not as sexy as any free tools that may be out there.

Tips most welcome. What do you guys use?

You can get screenshots with the free version of Fraps. File format is limited to .bmp but it is easy to convert them afterwards. Only videos get watermarked in the free version.

Also, Fraps isn't really that expensive.

http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/

Capture software for desktops and other devices. Allows also screenshots via hot key. Maybe this helps.

Thanks a bunch guys, was not aware that Fraps did not add watermarks to screenshots in bmp. Conversion is not a problem.

Fragment: Not disagreeing, but it will have to wait until the next paycheck :)

PrtScn, then Ctrl V in any image editing program.
