Aren't a lot of stores closed during easter?

I see that it is stated that there will not be a shuttle bus on Thursday.
Is that even if there are enuff people interested?
From FRA there are now 23 people arriving on Thursday.

I would like to donate again for bp, but a supporter ticket with 250 Euro is a bit too much for me. Is there a way to spend some money like the last year?

It was arranged via scene.org last year (the small donation collection). I too wonder if it will be the same... Have not looked around yet.

from breakpoint website :
"The size limit for demos has been increased to 128MB (134.217.728 bytes)"

when they will reach the gigabyte limit (which is already the case for games demos), i'll quit scene

tigrou, who cares about file sizes in demos.

blasting 1gb of textures or other data through in ~4 minutes is also worth the watch ;)
mod/nekomono: im also too poor to donate 250 - however smaller donations like last year might be interesting.
Most people would prefer to watch a 100MB video in that case, IMO.

I had completely forgot about pre-ordering a party ticket and/or a supporter ticket so I ordered me one just now. Do you think there's a reasonable chance that I will be able to get my ticket before friday morning next week when my flight leaves :/? Of course, I could always pay for it afterwards and buy a regular ticket at the door but it feels better to have a ticket before going and if I get the supporter ticket before I go I could give it away to someone that might need it :).

I'm going! Quite exciting, last demoparty I've been to was at least a couple of years ago... :) Yay!

still no compo pc specs (yes i know, it's getting ridiculous). but we'll put a high-level consumer nvidia graphics card into it (gtx 280 or better), fyi.

thanks ryg... so, there is really no chance to get an ATI dx11 card?

So can we count on GT200 based with current WHQL drivers (197.13)?

There's a slight chance that a miracle happens and we get brand spanking new GT4x0 cards but yeah, GT2x0 it will be otherwise.

wooo, that would be fantastic kb :D

Psycho, have you ever been able to test some cs_4_0 compute shaders (or open cl equivalents) on a dx 10.1 nvidia hardware? I would be interested to have some feedback...

Can imagine some driver compatibility problems if GF100 beta driver based. I think GT200 (or evergreen to avoid those lazy nv only shaders :) would be a more regular solution.
lx: no, got no gt21x hardware within reach...

I wish with all my might that the next big demo party (the successor to BP) uses exclusively AMD gpu's. For a more compatible collection of demos.

- Doesn't work on my Radeon...
- But my shaders compile fine on nvidia!

using a certain type of GPU won't make demos automagically any better - guys, please concentrate on creative content. I'm sicking of the ten millionst cubes/primitive-of-your-liking demo..

It's not the hardware, but what you do with it, that counts ;_)

spike: demos are much better when they work instead of having compatibility issues with some unknown/buggy setup/driver. I dropped the idea of doing dx11 for breakpoint months ago anyway.
