I have only one thing to say:
Nothing good will come out of singling out any one scener, but I do consider the idea of mocking BITS demos good. I see it just as another way of presenting critique.

one question bugs me though: what would've been the prize for the glorious winner? a one year subscription to the BITS club?
*sigh* a real person with a talent for prolific mediocrity by the name of Herman Samso initiated a 'group' called 'The B.I.T.S. club'. And under that name he released some shit.
People noticed that this guy also posted to forums with a poor command of English, which caused much hillarity.
And now whenever someone makes a crappy prod which they do not want to put their own name on. They become Solo(2) of B.I.T.S. Whenever someone gets bored and feels like trolling demosceners without spoiling their own status, the become Solo(2) of B.I.T.S.
Much the same way that a film director will use the name 'Alan Smithee' on a mediocre film.
Solo is living the plot from the movie "Burn Hollywood Burn" a little.
The REAL Herman Samso has been the 'victim' of a cruel mockery for some time now.
Although somehow I don't think he minds, and is even in on it a bit(s) himself. He probably gains much amusement from his alter-ego.

Not likely. In order to make a BITS prod, you have to set out to create it. A regular demo by some regular scener does not "accidentally" turn into colorcycling Atari-scrollers. )
Is it not conceivable that I would code an effect for an oldshool platform which I'm pleased with enough to release on it's own.

Also, why do they say that they should ban BITS? He is playing with the rules. He never uploads inapropriate images, trolling blogs or hacks the planet. He does these three things: Writting thorough reviews with detailed effect descriptions, using the oneliner to post random telepathetic nonsense but the oneliner has no rules, adds a lot of productions (maybe he only didn't understood he should not open new prod for ports but ask fix me beautiful to include). All of these do not conflict with the rules of pouet. He even sells his demos, a practice that won't be liked by most of the sceners (personally I don't care) but it's his demos and he should be able to chose what to do with them. Of course, criticism is fine (like, selling demos is fucking lame, anti-scene spirit or something) but banning?
And that's why I like Solo. Because he plays with the rules and is fucking annoying all of you. I only wonder if he is a real clueless person or some real sceners who are making fun of all of us. But for six years activity? Don't these sceners have anything else to do? I think it's very probable that the person is real. I am only wondering what he is thinking right now..
