blkpanther me beautiful

category: general [glöplog]
(there is no papermag type because those shouldn't be added to pouet if I recall correctly, I think there once was a discussion about this).

Guardian, please elaborate to us how this is "not helpful".
sparcus, fixed. i didnt know about that discussion sorry
Hey, am I wrong or adding SEUCK crappies is lame? -> 2 or 3 years ago I've done the same and the comments were suggesting that.

however, we'll see the workload it generates on gloperators shoulders
besides that, what's the consequence on both sites bandwith and quotas ?
Yup, but on CSDB you will lotsa lotsa things not exactly connected to the demoscene. And I don't think that shitty game done by cracker group fits here.

yep sorry, you replied while i was writing. i think the gloperators probably won't mind the extra workload (they can correct me if i'm wrong). all the stuff that can be changed in bulk should be easy to change, and all the fiddly bits can be done iteratively over time, as they would have been had the prods been added manually. as for the bandwidth, well... you may have a point there ;)
Yes try to filter more please, you're adding stuff that doesn't exactly belong here and that will moreover make the DB crawl even more (it's the last thing it needs nowadays)

yeah, don't get me wrong i have nothing against c64 prods
well ok then...no games will be added then :/
Keep it going Black Panther.
Guardian, as long as any error/mistake is written in fix me beautiful, our work won't change. Now if we have to hunt all prods that got added by Black Panther and check out all the mistakes, we're doomed.

The scary point will come when blkpanther delivers a list for the glöperators with the prods that need a link to a second disk...

wouldn't it be worth to stop the bot, have blkpanther and the gloperators identify all the small glitches and restart the whole thing? to have a better testing phase, really...

anyway, well done blackpanther :)

stage7, well, the gloperators have this thing called sql.

was this written as a "funny thing to do" or was it a serious attempt to feed pouet with csdb crap? if it was a serious attempt why didn't the csdb admins approve an sql dump of a given query that would fit the pouet admins/gloperators (whoever have sql access on pouet) to feed the data and perhaps also be able to flag the attempts so any sql errors could be corrected without jeopardizing the database (i guess now since its everything is added from one user it really isn't a big problem anyways).
