Scene.org awards 1988 to 1994 - Who would have been nominated? :)

Write down your nominees for those years, the categories are:
-Best demo
-Best intro (48 KB to 100 KB i would assume) :)
-Best 4k (hmm, not sure about this one for that period) :)
-Best effects
-Best graphics
-Best soundtrack
-Best direction
-Most original concept
-Breakthrough performance
-etc etc etc

Boring... TBL would still be there in a couple of categories per year.

Easy: take the first two ranked demos/intros of the 6/7 bigger parties and you have all the classics in your pocket. then give random nominations. Eh, dix, am I right?! ;)

soolta .. in 10 years... would you say the same and then nominate "winnerdemo" from breakpoint 04 ? ..

Dixan: it's true that TBL would still be there in a couple of categories per year,but also ORange,Triton and some others could!

And also many great demos were never released at parties at all.

now, please tell me which tbl demos from before 1996 you would nominate?

i still remember being at the party 95 and there were all those guys with "the black lotus" shirts and everyone thought: "could there be a sillier group name? can really everybody join?". things changed after gathering 96, though...

Spin: I had the same thoughts (expecially since i was a MTG player back then, and there were cooler carda to name your group after ;D). And yeah, I also ha d to reconsider ;)

Dixan: I always wondered about the same thing.. though a group called Mox Emerald or Birds of Paradise would have sucked even more :)

Btw, I still need a Lotus and Pearl to fill my P9 set.. fuck those things are expensive nowadays.

hmmm who would get nominated? well I guess you would have to dig up the known sceners of that time,put them in the jury, and let them nominate themselves. Isnt that how it works? ;)
