On a sidenote, Jespa's usage of the English language has reminded me of EP.

But I've not noticed any other evidence that Jespa = EP so far.

you shouldn't care about that ADOK guy.. he just plain mean sometimes. EP is ADOK's friend who likes to post offensive threads mocking our little community...

I would think, assuming i'm authorized to think on pouet ;), that there are mainly 2 schools for demos on pc nowadays. on one side, you have coders with artistic sensitivity who can feel what is beautiful and know how to use their code to make beautiful things, and on the other side the ones who make tools to enable their graphists to express their artistic sensitivity..

And then you have people who think that a plasmaball is cool enough to put in the demo by itself, and people who are stuck in the old times and think that drawing a couple of quads that resemble the rasterbars on Amiga is great.

My advice is: Just code, have fun and see what comes out of it :) And visit parties and get to know people :)

Yeah, preacher says it all, just have fun doing what you do and express yourself :)

Find something that motivates you. This may be to express your "artistic sensitivity" (hi Nystep ;) ), but it may also be to have you and your friends kick butt in the compos by making something new and different and interesting. In my opinion this is the better option. It all comes down to ideas, and the best demomakers are not always the best or most experienced coders.

Oh yes - don't spend too much time on pouet. ;)

My personal advice to Jespa is:
You have written a 3D renderer. Now try to push it to absolute maximum. See what it can do. And sooner or later you're gonna have a demo. (:
Oh, yeah, you need music too!

do what YOU want to do.

and if you can't figure out what that is, go outside for a while.
