I guess when your tunes are this polished, you don't need a fancy interface.

However, all these tracks could be found on AMP. So *I* don't need plain text interface, as Hippoplayer does the job so much better. And with visualisation, info's etc.

I guess if you're using anything other than a REAL AMIGA, this is an easy way to hear all there tracks as they are supposed to sound. PC-MOD players ALWAYS stuff it up.

This narrowly avoids getting a thumb-down.
anakirob: so you almost thumbed this down because someone wanted to spread some tunes without a fancy interface almost 20 years ago? That's just, wow...

No, I DID NOT THUMB IT DOWN, because someone wanted to spread some tunes without a fancy interface almost 20 years ago?

Given the context (it was a floppy release from around 20 years ago), it's a piggy from me, it would have been even 'back in the day', as there is no real interface.

But here's a thumb down just for you.

FAIL! It's a bootable disk which contains a GUI/viewer (AmigaDOS in this case) and you can choose the songs so there's nothing wrong with it.

I dont think an amiga dos script really qualifies as a gui.

Well, disk is bootable, you can select the songs, they play. No external players needed, no extra tools needed. Very simple "GUI" but it is one.

and still it's also a hell of a lot more usable than some "real" musicdisk GUI's I've seen =)

And of course, those things existed back in 1990 when Dr Awesome wanted to release his tunes...

Let's just get one thing straight: This is not a Crusaders music disk. I mean - it sort of IS, but it really ISN'T... Getting complicated? Well the thing is that this disk contains a lot of music by me, but there is NO coding what-so-ever. We're working on our next "real" music disk right now, but it seems that we have SO many new songs that I decided to spread these out now and pick some others for the forthcoming music disk. So what you get here is no demo, no nice graphics, no animations, nothing but some plain old music.

The text file is interesting from a historical perspective, but at the end of the day this release is just 6 lines of dos script.

Ahh the fun of making CLI musicdisks. Loses points for not having the starfield task running but thumbs up anyway.

Great stuff from Dr Awesome, was listening that in loops on my atari back in the days.

Anakirob: you should thumb down the Phaleon Demo, it has very complicated menus, and instead you can use the Pompey Pirates compilations with a easy to access list of filed version of the screens.
