Good visuals, you finally got the new engine up? Quite coherent.

Ah made with Unreal UE4? Can't find any references of this in the demo itself. No .nfo either. It is clear because it says UE4Game-Win64-Shipping.exe in the 503mb (??) zip but still. I should give a thumb down for this. Besides that it is hard to see anything because every scene is blurred into oblivion. Would have been a weak piggie leaning to a thumb down for the effort if it was your own engine, but since you guys used UE4 without giving credit I can only thumb it down.

Great charakter modeling. Imposing direction.

Without questioning any tool you used, you pulled out an awesome show, told a story and that robot is too cute to to anything else than thumb it up

I enjoyed the first minute a lot, it had a lovely mood, nice subtle animation and a refreshing change from usual Pyrotech stuff. The rest is not my cup of tea at all, although the production values are definitely there.

For a few years now, whenever an Assembly summer is happening I check the videostream or the results file after the party for a Pyrotech production in the PC demo compo. Yes, I like their stuff that usually sends positive vibes and has great artistic direction and good music. And I'm totally fine with them using Unreal Engine, too. (503 megs is quite a shocker, though! O.o)

However this time, 'Rogue Keyframes' left me kinda cold. Unfortunately most of the scenes, like numtek already pointed out, are way too blurry to be enjoyable. It's so bad in fact that it felt like I needed a new pair of glasses. The robot is still cute of course, the demo literally continues where 'Nuclei' had left off four years ago. But, in my opinion, 'Nuclei' is the better entry in the series.

A piggy it is, therefore, with a friendly request to make a final with less blur please! :) If you feel like it, hehe.

I didn`t like the focus on the robot, the other scenes were quite cool, more of those plz.

Very beautiful demo, ruined by the atrocious and pathetic depth of field. Someone please teach them how to do DoF properly?

One of the first real under water demos?

Felt like too much attention was given to the robot model at the expense of everything else in its scenes, and that the overall design effort did not match the engine capabilities in terms of rendering and animation. If you use a tool as powerful as UE4, you really have to knock it out of the park design- and/or direction-wise to make it feel worth using. So the thumb goes to Tim Sweeney, and the piggie goes here.

You could use a bit of DOF. can't harm anyone.
The music lacks a bit of force in some moments.
The models and animations looks nice
Nice packaging of the stuff in UE4.
Now, next time try not to rush and pursue an clearer contept.
UE4 is an unlimited weapon, use it with wise and containtment.
I'd like it!
