Humm... The gfx is not even a full-screen size. But true - the pixels are nicely put.
sim: Who knows, maybe there's even a technical reason why it's restricted to 168 lines? Don't think I've seen a fullscreen implementation of the effect at hand (but that got me thinking).
I can only guess why I had to confine myself to that kind of narrow vertical space. It was probably because Radiant had to deal with some kind esoteric machine code thing, or something. Like code, and stuff!
Who knows, next time it might be the first C64 demo in 4k resolution!
