- (de)coder for ImageMagick

Oh hell yeah. I sense that Demozoo is going to have support for a few hundred more image formats in the not-so-distant future... :-D

Regarding IrfanView - I'm sorry, it's closed source. I was in touch with Irfan some 10 years ago, sent him source code decoding dozens of Atari formats, then he asked me about the number of potential users, then stopped answering my emails.

Regarding OS X - yes, a QuickLook plugin is high on my todo list. Meanwhile you can try the HTML 5 viewer - I know it's not as convenient as a desktop app, but maybe better than nothing.

if you make readers compatibles we could add formats to this http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=60817
respecting this :

struct IMAGE_DATAS
{
char * ptrImageDATAS; // ptr
unsigned int X,Y; // dimension
int nTexture; // obsolete
int Alpha; // 0-1
int Grayscale; // 0-1
};

ptrImageDATAS=(char*) malloc(X*Y*4);

What about a translator for BeOS/Haiku?

useful :D

I speak with Irfan every so often, encouraged him to get WebP in for example. You should try contacting him again saying you'd like to write a plugin for IV and he can send you details "Irfan Skiljan" <irfanview@gmx.net> . I'd say he was just against doing the work himself considering the low user base, but if you're willing to do it that should be cool and he can add it to the plugin package.

Useful tool but when it should be able to handle "raw" pictures as well (ask for dimension/depth and then load the pic based on that info). The first files I tried were some Amiga raw graphics in bitplane format and I was greeted with a "Decoding error" message box. :)

Cool idea (:

Kind of curious which C64 formats it supports, though, since there are a *lot*. Multicolour/koala, Hires, FLI, IFLI, AFLI, UFLI, NUFLI, Drazlace, HCB....

Very useful tool, although as a plug-in for IrfanView it would become simply invaluable. Meanwhile, I already subscribed for a mailing list and will be adding a feature request soon :)

Yup, would be really great to have a plug-in and haing finally all these 8/16bits images EZ to view in their REAL format.

Really cool stuff!

If I were to request a plugin for this it would be for total commander's lister view!

Good stuff!

A plugin for gimp (like cbm_plug for c64 formats) would be awesome :D
rulez added on the 2014-03-25 15:30:45 by rez rez
Nice start! Can you support ZX Spectrum *.3 format (that is B,R,G 6144 bitplanes in screen format)? It was used in AGA editor, 8col editor, con18 converter, MCX viewer and AFAIK GfxView plug-in for Total Commander.

IrfanView 4.38 includes RECOIL 3.0.0 in its "Formats.dll" plugin.

RECOIL 3.1.0 is now available.
