It's true that winape32 video recording is awful sometimes. I remember this buzz. Also, many of the codecs it provides will record a video with wrong colors or bad file. Anyway, I recorded the voxel1k the same way, but I am not sure if I had the sound disabled (that's the way to not have the buzzing for such intros that don't have sound). Also, the version that says Microsoft RLE video worked fine for me.
Or maybe we need proper codecs. I am confused. And fraps does not capture Winape32.
I don't know anything about Amstrad CPC and the like. But i like what i see =)

No. Archive contain QBasic source, coloring way taken from one. It is simple DLA.
