Run on real hardware due to new YM2149 sound-effect.

Some nice scenes but the "music" and overall design are not working for me.

Interesting to see 8-16px columns based effects. While pretty common on C64, and other 8bits platforms it is a rare sight on ST.

guys, this is a really wild production.. something very different(!)

Wow, Checkpoint with brutal code AND design ! Me like in spite of the msx that doesn't fit my tastes.
rulez added on the 2012-10-10 13:38:30 by stsurvivor stsurvivor
Brilliant code! :)
As for the msx, i can only run it in STeem, but i bet it won't be the best of the demo!

yeah that was nice for sure :)

Wow, forgot to thumb the incredible small size of that 7 minute long demo ! Double thumb up here ;)
it was nice!

Der Defjam!
rulez added on the 2012-10-11 20:35:19 by keops keops
Quite a slick invitro with lots of Defjam coding exploits crammed in. I distinctly remember seeing a prototype version of one of the effects from the 2005 Outline party!

Found it a bit lengthy to be honest. However it has nice effects, and fitting music - really like the flyer graphics - and I'll try to be there O_o

cool code but way to repetitive and long :)
added on the 2012-10-13 16:22:55 by Alpha C Alpha C
Really great coding, but as Alpha C said a little bit too long and repetitive and the music isn´t my cup of tea.

it's a great idea just to use bytebending for chunky effects like rotozoom. it's goddamn fast and adds some flair too. in an age where STe, 12MB RAM and SD card readers are becoming standard, defjam still kick ass on a plain old 1040STf. in terms of design.. well yeah. could have been better. with only a single day of rework this could have been so much better. still worth a thumbs up, though. definitely!

bytebending
Ah! That's how this 8-16px chunks approach is called.

Actually, I think the design is pretty (I agree on the lenghty partys though), however I love the effect show + acid approach.

Nice one.Sadly, really repetitive.

Some cool effects (twisters) but i really can't stand the music.
rulez added on the 2012-10-27 23:56:59 by BackSpace BackSpace
Has its highs and lows. Technically, it's extremely impressive and the style is mostly consistent, but the music is hard to endure.
For an invitation, however, it definetly rocks.

Is ok.

unsightly like a sick dog. gosh, this series is terrible.
sucks added on the 2014-03-13 14:50:21 by abscess abscess
Doesn't really work for me... some of the effects are great really, but the overall presentation and flow suffer... and the music is definitely not my cup of tea.
