Seems like an interesting piece of HW :)

Looks like a Z80 on steroids with graphics and sound that is slightly better than Amiga.

really enjoyable

If you check out the hardware specs you see that it's actually quite impressive for it's kind. Like... 55 hardware sprites and so on. The question is: Considering it's fairly generous specs, shouldn't this demo be even BETTER? Meh... Anyway, the soundtrack was nice, the graphics was pretty... Overall enjoyable. But it's hard to know what to vote in a case like this.

I was impressed. The sound. The colours. Wow.

Great stuff.

elfan: you're right, there should be more stuff. We planned some additional parts, but those had to be cut as the deadline was getting dangerously close. But I'm still proud of how it turned out considering it's my first demo as well as my first big Z80 code.

Great production. I really like the music.
Any chance of mp3 recording or hq video?

Neat machine, okay-ish demo.
Still a thumb as it's mostly partycoding.

Brilliant one.
Insane : can you provide a link for the soundtrack ?

Ah? First prod! Definitely thumb then :).

I would also like a high quality capture, the youtube video is such a low bitrate that for example the interference effect at the beginning is just one big soup of macroblocks...

like it

Very nice demo. Excellent soundtrack by x-ceed. Should have been placed much higher, like in the top 5.
rulez added on the 2010-04-08 04:23:08 by Clarence Clarence
The soundtrack is available on modland, as it is "danz 2 rhythm.mod" by X-Ceed (ex Snoopy).
Please replace YouTube link with THIS one:

Nice to see someone doing something with the Z80P boards :)

Tough it was cooler before you knowd the spec of the machine, but still good
rulez added on the 2010-04-09 13:41:30 by Queen_Luna Queen_Luna
I was really wndered when people at Breakpoint TV Live called this machine "Spectrum clone" :)) Which is totally idiotic and lame from such geeks. The low position caused low awareness of existence the V6Z80P. So, the machine is 8-bit and the CPU is Z80! This is why it should have been placed higher.

Excellent tune! I was humming it all the next day without knowing which prod is was from. Fortunately now I know ;-) The color scheme ruled the big screen and I like the up scroller - you know which one...

@starbuck: right now you can download it from Stone Oakvalleys Amiga Music Collection@paula8364.com. Just search for "danz 2 rhythm"

Nice prod, I'm a sucker for these alternate-reality-what-if-8-bit-had-continued-to-evolve platforms, like the C64DTV etc.
Must...resist...urge to buy yet another hardware to add to my collection!

Nice stuff, especially for a (mostly) party prod. Looking forward to more on this platform!

I think we could qualify the machine to be an... "Amstrad 1200" ^___^;;

badass platform !

after looking at the prod again i realise that the phrase "coded mostly during the party time" in the nfo-file should be better phrased - the things you do after 30h of demo-work... the only things finished coding-wise before bp were the plasma and twister part. Everything else was done during a caffeinated rush on bp - an experience I don't want to relive again - especially for my first foray into demo-coding ;)
