Be sure to get the win32 port (which has been around for ages but nobody seems to have known that).

Really nice demo featuring 3D scenes mixed together with some cool code FX. The 2nd tune is one of my all-time favourites, the electic guitar fits perfectly. Nice work.

Hey,. I didn't remember knewing about the Win32 port! And I found accidentally this demo. Btw,. this demo isn't very popular,. haven't heard anything about that..

It starts very cool (With the particle explotion writting the logo, but it really spoils in some parts (While some other parts could make a very cool demo!))
It is sad because some parts & fx are very good, but some other really ugly 3d (the trees, the waterfall, the spaceships with lame 3d gfx..) spoils the thign..

I liked also very much the 3d random walker thing!!! Ohh,. and the trance music of course!

It could be a great demo without some ugly looking parts and details. Some fx ruled!

It was good and bad, good and bad,. but I liked it...

Still one of the best demos ever.

the only thing which looks good in this demo is the spiked cylinder in the greets part imo (one of those effects i could watch for 15 min without getting bored , easily), but that "waterfall" is just plain ugly i think. Music is well crafted but i can't stand the style. 2d GFX is nice.

This is a very special demo for me. It was probably the first demo I ever saw and made me eventually to join to the scene.

Ok, it was a great demo back in 1998 and it still is. Some very original effects here in too.

While some of the 3D scenes are not very spectacular, the bumpmapped-voxel-spike-cylinder more than makes up for it. One of the coolest effects EVER!

I agree the last comment.

i haven't voted this? anyway, everything rocks in this (one of my favourites)

This was "the kickstart" to demoscene interest back then in 98. And it started from downloading the part 2-music and wondering "what the hell is a demo?". ;) Still rocked, though not as impressive as back then!

fucking ace soundtrack.

the end part (mainly because of the phat soundtrack, but all counts) made me shiver the first time i saw it, and still does. Brilliant demo

The voxel pillar is nice, as is the L-system in the end even though the flares are buggy. Music rules too..

Has some nice stuff going on even with all the edges. Extra cheers for the port ;)

trauma once again showed that they dominate(d) the scene.. damn fine demo overall.

hmm. haven't commented this yet?

this is pretty much where my scene interest started back in 98. first i heard the music, which rocks, and later saw the demo after seeing couple of others, but only after seeing this, the only thing i could think about was, "i wanna be involved in something like this" :)

A great soundtrack and some original visuals but that's about it. I used to like it a lot more but I think I've become more picky a few hundred demos later.

One of my fave pc demos from that time. Cube's music rules massive!

some scenes are fugly but overall it's very good and i love that it's divided in parts in the style of old demos. music rolls along nicely and props for a handcoded software engine.

The twisterspikythingie in the greetingspart is nice, and the demo itself was quite ok. But that horrible waterfall prevents me from even giving this a weak thumb up. I mean, goddamn that's an awful waterfall...

Really cool, somehow this is the essence of a coder demo - with really cool music and touches of design.

How could I forget the thumb... This still rocks, especially the soundtrack...

Everything about this demo is awesome, including the music, the graphics, and the models----except for the waterfall. Runs great in DOSBox, if you crank up the core speed and give it lots of RAM.

I also captured an AVI from DOSBox and uploaded it to YouTube: I uploaded the DOSBox capture to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgGmbqIqX_A

My lost thumb, the musics are stil great!
rulez added on the 2010-08-16 13:28:08 by rez rez
The first part was really unnecessary and ugly. I will only judge this demo by the main thingy, not the terrible first half (Pixie Sticks Waterfall... is this a joke?).

Kick ass music, graphics and pretty much overall design of the second part. The first part is just poor in comparison of the second half, but the second part is pretty much the actual demo for me.

This demo is pretty awesome, I liked the spiked twister (it looks like some sort of sea creature).
I wonder what it would look like if it was remade using 2012 technology.

saw this on the Demosplash stream, but think i remembering seeing this on TV before nice demo :)

Nice and fast paced but most of it doesn't appeal to my eyes. Last part was really cool though.

By the way – this is the ancestor of World of Warcraft visual realisation. This is when the 3D MMORPG visuals were created.

Nice, some good parts for an early 3D demo, love that wipeout scene :)

I love it despite its faults. Great demostyle music, with maybe a bit too many guitars.

Considering this is almost 20 years old and 100% software rendering I think it looks quite nice. And the music indeed rules! Still an enjoyable demo almost 2 decades later.

Like most code-oriented demos, this didn't age too well. Especially that "Wiepout" part (which was probably inspired by Statix' wired invitation).
The twister still looks cool, though. Music is nice, too.

first part almost totally sucks (mainly because slow code and poor visuals), but then...
and yes, second part is WAY better :) Love dat soundtrack and vecor-madness in the end/

Am I the only one who likes the first part better? Although, of course, the demo kinda works better as a whole.
