Not as good as Drifters' last year's OHP demo and some of the effects were done better by Jumalauta nearly a decade ago, but they still manage to combine OHP with non-OHP components quite well.
My personal wow effect: "Let's get out of this world!"

sorry but this is absolutely cheap! OHP is a real platform by now, where certain standards have been reached. and all you manage to do on the platform itself is a cheap stick-figure scene, a cheap sidescroller, a blur which we've done last year, and a water effect (which was the only neat thing). and to distract from the inability to do anything decent on the hardware, you dress up the hardware itself. okay, clever move, but just cheap... it's like giving a cheap sinescroller in the democompo and win just because you danced naked on stage while the demo was running. sorry, drifters, you know i love your stuff usually, but this was just lame. it's like winnerdemo winning breakpoint, only that winnerdemo was actually funny. absolutely no innovation here to see, just cheap crowd-catching tricks which don't have ANYTHING to do with the platform.

i'm only giving it a virtual BB Image because the greeting scene was actually a good idea at least. but if i'd have lost against that pile of something, i'd be mad for sure.

and also BB Image for commercial music.

That you think Winndemo was funny says a lot here.. I won't comment the rest...

Winnerdemo even...

sting, does it devalidate my other points? i don't think so.

for me, it actually does. anyway, your comment sounds like you are the absolute king when it comes to ohp demos, i.e. you define what is lame and what is innovative and what has "something to do with the hardware"... So, Dipswitch, show me some über1337 OHP demo next year then. Judging your comment, you should be able to do the worlds best OHP demo ever...

come on, this is and was a fun compo, let people have fun by doing whatever they do.. the ohp demo from drifters last year was probably better, ok, but then again there were AWESOME entries last year which were hard to top in ideas and innovation.. as i said: let people have fun.

about he commercial music: i think we would have disqualified drifters or anyone else using commercial music if we cared. but this is a fun compo and it was fun .. so what :-)

i second unlock, you wrote it nice : ) from this demo, i liked two things a lot - water effect + get out of this world : ) anyway, i also think your previous ohp demo was better and maybe brainstorm+dreamdealers deserved to win but it's just my opinion...

One might argue that this isn´t a real OHP demo coz a major amount of it was going on besides the projector, but who can resist the typical Drifters style? Not to mention that the stage never was as filled as during this demo ;)

stingray, i'm not saying i'm the king of ohp or smth, and sure drifters style has its charm. but i have nothing to prove. http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=18799.

Yes the greetings part was cool, but standing on stage like the village people was a little too gayish for my taste ... and what was the deal with that monkey in front of the OHP?

Being pathetic, boring, having lame music and having needed a long time installation make it worth a piggie, isn't it?

after rereading what i wrote, i have to say i feel really sorry for hurting peoples feelings. senseless bashing is really not my style, and i am surprised and ashamed of myself that i did it here. this demo is well done, well prepared and well executed. probably i was annoyed that i didn't participate myself that year, and this caused me to write such a senseless rant. i am sorry, sincerely.

sadly too short. jumalauta posers go do new demos instead of whining. we all know the best ohp demo ever belongs to team tmi anyways.
