Teh file zap.h3d si corrupt
added on the 2002-03-26 19:30:18 by ravity ravity
That file 'si' not corrupt, works fine here.

Opening part of the music had drums similar to those in Square, and the design tries to emulate that demo's messiness, I think. Main place to focus work for the next demo: Less garish overlays.

Very nice synching, I specially liked the radial-blurred thing. If they only had a good graphician/designer...
Come on Hansa, I'm looking forward to your next production :)

I get a CRC error when unpacking, it occurs at zap.h3d
added on the 2002-03-26 20:30:23 by ravity ravity
Hansa is solidily progressing in every demo they make. This demo has some really nice stuff. My main complain is the graphics, some stuff doesnt look good or fits very well, besides that everything's quite good.

sorry ravity. mail us with a little desc. of your system, that may help.
mac,Ithaqua, sagacity :) we'll take your comments very seriously in order to improve in our next prod. thanks

CRC failed in WowFactor_Hansa\escena\zap.h3d
Unexpected end of archive
added on the 2002-03-26 20:56:57 by Wain Wain
I also got a CRC error when unpacking zap.h3d. However, it worked fine the second time I downloaded the production. Perhaps it's some sort of server error...?

The demo has some neat stuff, like flying inside the baby, but everything seemed 'disconnected' and incoherent. Yet it starts off looking like there might have been some common thread between parts, but that feeling disappears pretty quickly. Kinda short too, but that's not necessarily bad.
good code/modelling, horrible gfx...

and why the hell is this 6 megs
Quite nice demo, needs some polishing. There was no problem with unpacking and it runs in acceptable speed on my pIII-450 (w2k) when chosing a not to high resolution ;)

No problems running it here, unlike their previous production which had some bugs. I have seen their previous productions and there's a notable progress here, worth tracking these guys.

However this demo lacks the WOW Factor! they claim. Music asks for an easier feeling, imo. These guys obviously have the skills, but they lack a good graphician, someone with better taste for textures and overall visuals.

They should work on their transitions too, there's an effect in which there's an overlay that just disappears (poop!) when the next effect begins.

I'll give it a 'rulez' cos there's some hardwork in here, and I've watched it several times, so something keeps bringing me back to it.

yes, i liked the music, the cameraeffects, the models and that radial blur. but as already mentioned, you need a good 2d graphician, because the few textlayers you had were all basic photoshop crap stuff everyone can do within minutes. also, the colourpalettes of the textures could be fine tuned. but keep up the good work, this demo was already very promising!

cool! the music is very impresive! good work armidas! and style/synchro is ok! but, Hansa, you have to improve the 2dgfx skills of the group :P

We celebrate you like it, we assume all critics, it's good for us to learn about the feedback. SAGACITY: erm...noupe fault it's NOT inspired in any term on Square, it's most inspired in Generation Zero or Mikkrostrange one's. JAMQUE: :*******

i don't like the lack of design and the way they try to cover up the lack of decent graphics.

the code, well.. nothing really special.

JaK: Ok :) ... Although I don't think it's fair to remind people of Generation Zero.

Yeah, Hansa-guyz ... keep doing it ! COde is good, the Track is really well-balanced ... Need some more work on the 2D-gfx, but nonetheless, a good attempt ...

JaK: It worked after downloading 4 times. I agree with everyone on the graphics part, but the blurring is certainly nice! I saw some nifty tricks with fading overlays or something. I'm curious what your next demo will be like, with better design and high quality textures.
added on the 2002-03-27 12:29:51 by ravity ravity
Good work, Hansa! Next prod will have better design and high quality textures, word given - and we'll see if next prod will make 6,4 MB worthy ;)

Very good indeed. Well done. Crap is not the word to descibe this... get a life..

Good work, although I must agree that I first thought of Square when seeing it (probably those flares :-) . The lack of good graphics and those low-quality layers quit the thumb-up for me. Nice code and music though. Definitely a demo worth watching once or twice. Good job.
added on the 2002-03-27 14:31:30 by Jcl Jcl
JotaCiel ! men! wtf! i agree with you as the rest of the comments those low quality layers still suck, btw K-Pui0 passed me yer oldie pack headers, in orther to recompress that bad gfx in one cute .dat phile, just one more word on this....SQUARE square square! wow...It does not seem at all to Square on next BCN you should show me wich part reminds square i can't see the point, anyway we're learning a lot from your critics. SPITE: you're on the list now...

Good Works.
Some 3dscene was good.
And good music.
rulez added on the 2002-03-27 18:09:26 by got got
JaK,

1) K-Pui0 = Jcl (= Me), dufus :)
2) Probably those orange/yellow flares remind me to Square (as the rest of us :) And maybe the 3D environment-like mapping on objects with undefined shape... probably some parts of the music too... just watch Square if you can get it to run on your computer :)

Hope you have some use for those old packer headers :]

I like very much the blur effect you use in this demo, and the gfx are not that bad. I can see a global improvement since your last product and I am looking forward to your next production. It'll be better for sure (even if this one is good ;-)).

This doesn´t get near my WOW-factor :-)
the first 20 or so seconds were kinda cool, but then those weird-colored 2d graphics kicked in and ruined the show.
I agree, the wow-factor of this is kinda low 8)) but it shows promise anyway.

Although it needs some more gfx work, the engine it's quite nice. Thumbs up, keep improving!

Growing group.
Very nice, more groovy than other prods like "condense", but still incoherent in the design.
Thumb up.
