To be fair, I enjoyed preachers article series, although it was full of common sense statements. :)

Tomaes, but when you're looking at productions made by newbies, they seem to lack the common sense :)

Anyway. I formally apologize for writing anything for this magazine. If I ever write something again, it will be for Pain.

The interface code seems ok to me.
Some of the graphics does its job..
The music is ok.
Too few articles, but I can't only blame the staff for that.

All in all, I like it! I wish you all the best!

music and gfx are butt ugly.
not very many articles. preachers one's were at least a slightly interesting read. the rest were mainly awful, with the usual suspects (ep, optimus) writing a load of crap.

after the pile of shit that was hugi 29, i'm almost impressed it actually managed to get worse from there.

i checked it just to read EP's promised revelation.

adok: thumbs up for editorial, i hope you mean it and follow it in the future editions.

graphics/music coherence is still crap. engine gfx are ok, intro and outro are crap. some nice tracks, horrible transitions.

anyways:
thumbs up to preacher, diamondie, optimus, cih for delivering something worth reading, even though the mag didnt deserve your support _imho_

about eps article, i read his history on the scene, and i finally realized why he's so misscomprehended.
1) he has a reading comprehension disorder which prevents him from reading the counter-points from people and only focus on the counter-insults.
2) he was innactive for 5 years, watched a few demos and didnt understand what happened to the machine limits breaking scene he so loved. more on that later...
3) he doesnt understand basic concepts of artistic expression.
4) he doesnt think/proofread his writtings.
5) he has lost (if he ever had any) social skills to handle honest blunt criticism.

so, without wanting to get too much into the explaining things that cant be understood bandwagon, ill just dump a few hints here for ep on why ppl are flaming him for beeing an idiot: your article demands violatation of atleast 5 rules of modern scene. and as if this wasnt enough to get every active scener pissed, your horrible english manages to imply that your ideas must be followed or the whole scene will die even more then it already has.

now, stop to think for a minute, stop to think for 2 minutes even. imagine you do demos for 5 years now, spent 3 of them developing a 64k engine with sota text gen and softsynth, organizing parties, promoting competitions and organizing outreaches. and this guy comes out of nowhere and claims everything you been doing is shit. that you should stop doing realtime things and go for dvds couz videos will save the scene (and mind, most demos nowdays already are normally encoded as avi/mpeg), that size limitations is bullshit and that expressing your hatred and true feelings for society is wrong, that all "artistic" efforts coated with technical value, are plain boring and depressive and therefor wrong. that movies with stories is the only thing that should matter (the party winners that most people despise couz they are only decent to watch a couple times), and that there are no machine limitations beeing explored anymore (i wonder why we had so many nvidia vs radeon specific opengl calls discussions for).

so ppl tell you: you dear sir are a clueless moron, and you retork: but im a scener. so we tell you: you're an old scener clueless with new ways. and you insult us for calling you clueless. we insult you for insulting us and you reply with threats and trolling and spam.

now i ask you, how many users on pouet are solidary with your cause? even if they understood the reasons behind your posts, why would they respect you now that you've already insulted them/us all?

and you speak of rules not beeing written and lack of manners and respect. there is this thing called netiquette, and there is a principal behind it, don't do to others what you wouldnt wish ppl would do to you. annoying us with close minded pov is one of them.

anyways, in the scene, as you should know since you are a scener, we talk with actions not words, if you hate every active scener, why dont you do some productions to state your points? if you think the scene lacks more colors then blacks, why dont you bring the life and joy back in the scene? why dont you do some prods? thats the only way you will get some respect from pouet crowd.

i dont like it but still better than the last one. the interface is stupid. hugi had better ones. i would like to have smooth scrolling and that page down scrolling mechanism is weird too. i prefer the "scroll arcticle to the right and beautiful block text" thingie from hugi 18. beside that the gfx is not thaaaat good. compared to the design by dines (i think that was his name) its very low standard.not very much coding articles. imho there should be more quality proof.. or just admit that hugi is dead
added on the 2005-02-04 18:29:40 by trigger trigger
I can't see what is so bad about this issue. If you dis Adok, why dis Hugi, since so many other people are also working on this mag. It's just stupid and not to say most immature to spill shit in your own nest. No wonder scene has been dead for so many years already ;)

Anyways. I didn't really find the graphics too good in this one, with the exception of the nice eye in the top righthand corner in the mag UI. Articles are okay, no matter if I agree or not with them. Wide selection of music, and my first time I actually hear this new mo3 format in action. Ohwell. Good luck to Adok and especially the whole Hugi team, it certainly ain't your worry if there's soon one less diskmag around..

Preacher's articles were enjoyable to read, the rest was rather so-so, or in ep's case crap. im still not really pro fiction and shit in diskmags, but tad's stuff is enjoyable too..

As for the graphics, they werent _that_ good.. perhaps a bit better than the previous issue, but again below a mediocre level. music however was ok.

For an anniversary release, this issue was rather crap. But hey, Hugi was already going downhill, so it didnt surprise me. I hope Hugi can restore its image as the image it created during the issues 10-20 ..

We dont need people like ep, ranting several kbs of text with deranged nonsense and other weirdness.. the amount of pages may look impressive, but the actual message remains a laugh. cheers.

the thumb up is for DiamonDie's fine-as-usual reports <3

ep: i've read all your blabla (fast reading rox! :p) and what you "reveal" is :

You've mostly been only a mail swapper. Your profile is common in the scene : the trader/sysop who distributes the scene prods but hardly produces anything. That's not a reproach but you really don't have any concrete arguments and knowledge to give orders to current active demomakers.

Your scene story is full of french scene name-dropping : blabla made blabla guile blabla tenshu blabla alkama blabla ghandy etc... but your achievements aren't really outstanding for lack of being non-existent.

There is a funny article in Hugi16 called THE DECAY OF SWAPPERS which perfectly describes your character :

Quote:
Let's say the whole truth right at the beginning: Mailswappers have always
been the consumers of the scene. Unless they had a second skill, they did not
contribute to the making of scenish productions. Usually their motive to start
swapping was to obtain good scene stuff easily. At the same time, they,
however, also spread stuff in the scene. That is why they served an important
function in the past. For some demo sceners this is the only difference
between a mailswapper and a lamer.

[...] Some ex-swappers display really lame behaviour. [...]

Instead of just wasting their time idling on IRC, why don't the swappers do
something useful for the scene? Confronted with this question, most of them
give a simple answer: they cannot contribute to making demos or intros because
they have never learned to code, to paint or to compose. However, there are
still many possibilities to take part in the scene in a positive sense.

For instance, they could become editors of scene mags. Why don't you old
swappers who complain about the scene of today write articles about the days
of the scene you liked, about your experiences, thoughts, and feelings? That
would certainly be interesting to the people who have not been around so long,
which is the majority of the scene.

btw if you bother to know, this article was written by a certain Adok/Hugi. ;D

Your PC is shit :p Hehe you blame modern demos for being slow, not optimized and unwatchable but you proudly own a FX5200... PLEASE GET A DECENT VIDCARD before blaming coders for your lamitude!

You are afraid by modern PC power, complexity and almost unlimited possibilities. You are getting old fast!

You are a clueless oldschooler, a grumpy old fool at only 29! Because you quitted the scene (or should i say quitted following the scene) years ago and you've recently tried to catch up by downloading a few demos, reading some diskmags and forum threads, you think you have enough clues about scene evolution to boldly state that oldschool scene spirit is gone !? May i tell you that the current underground scene is full of old spirit, but you obviously don't have a clue about it. You have been trading cracked games in your teenies but now you are blaming piracy for being baaad. That's typical for a vieux con!

Your scene view is so partial, biased and egocentric : for example you think all demoparties have turned into boozing fests because you've seen some slengpung photos whereas the demoparties you attended in the past weren't like that. Haven't you ever considered that this difference may not be time-related but cultural and geographical ? French demoparties (like the only ones you attended) are usually more "quiet" and "clean" (some would say boring ;) than German and Scandinavian ones. You apparently don't have enough clearsightedness and/or party experience in space and time to drop peremptory verdict about modern demoparties. In fact you want to put ALL the scene inside your narrow idea boxes through your outside-of-the-box point of view. Pretty overconfident!

You are full of paradoxes (like any human being though) : you hate school but work as a school network admin, you hate people giving you orders but you give orders to the scene, you hate money and consumerism but you are a clueless demo consumer obsessed by profitability. You blame PC for being both complexe and compatible whereas PC compatibility is in fact a blessed gift for coders and users : being no more the slaves of hardware and manufacturers does make life far more easier!

You are a disgusting male chauvinist pig and you are clueless in this domain too lol, as gay men do score girls way more easily! =D

Man i pity your 5 girlfriends.

You aren't a fun guy. You are obsessed by your health and the continual search for happiness which irremediably leads to sadness. Your aversion for black stuff is childish, and could you please accept that man can like cyberpunk, industrial and techno stuff while NOT being perverted/disturbed. I DO make the distinction between art/demos/games/literature/movies and reality. I fuckin love Kasparov/Suspend demos/military FPS/Neuromancer/Brazil and i deeply hate US weapons of mass destruction and Bush criminal wars.

Nevertheless like in all Optimus verbal diarrhoea and after filtering out ego stuff, spiteful words, clueless generalizations and redundant blabla, i've found some interesting historical and technical facts. Even some mind-questioning ideas.
But i do still think you totally have forgotten the scene spirit, vieux con! :P

One more time we rulez and have achieved a new mag beautiful, cool and with our hard work we succeed.

I don't care : I will never listen to you any more, you are lazy, bad for hugi and are never happy. You read one word out of 10 and you are always easy on giving thumbs down. Well you don't have for most of you participate to hugi and you don't have spent the 100 hours I spent and the hours others at hugi staff have spent too. You ignore the work behind, you ignore argument, you don't quote, you don't demonstrate : you are worst than the lamers you talk about here and there. You are bad for the whole world and not realist at all. I hate you and tonight I'm the most happy guys on this planet. I will never read any other pouet bbs as pouet sucks and is a total anarchy. Nothing is done by posters to be constructive. I see here what I've seen on all others post. I see misunderstanding, I see ppl unable to read carefully article, I see ignorant, idiots and in fact fools. You aren't Ok ? I don't care. I will continue writing and more this will get on your nerve and more happy I will be : somes of you have hurted me by bad demos or "fuckings" and I don't see why till I will not get apologizes and explanations and respect, why I had to change my behaviour. ep: here i quote you to make your bloated ego happy:

Quote:
You read one word out of 10

People read what they want to read, that's the basic principle of diskmags. Man can't compel everyone to read all optimus and ep's verbal diarrhoea, torture has officially been abolished in Europe and even in the USA!

Quote:
and you are always easy on giving thumbs down

Don't you know Pouet yet ? that's common Pouet anarchy, the ultimate demo-cracy around! ;p If you can't bear it, don't post here. And you couldn't expect a row of thumbs up with your former lame authoritative stance.

Though i've found this hugi better than the previous one (some would say it's easy as pie ;) thanks to always appreciated party reports and nice tunes. And because adok seems to have stopped his medical crap and pro-US political support and whim to explain us the cracking scene. Hugi could be fine as scene introduction to newbies IF there were some counter-articles answering your own ones or at least a warning stating that your ideas are very polemic (to say the least) in the scene audience.

Quote:
somes of you have hurted me by bad demos

the one who hasn't understood yet what was written is definitely YOU! Read on my fingers: Demoscene isn't there to please you mister egomaniac! If current demos don't please you, make your own ones that'll please you. That's the simple rule. That's how the scene evolves. And not under the pressure of your nonsense textual flow.

and big FUCKINGS to you kitty-tormentor!

darkin: jealousy of what exactly? grow a brain, drop the dick-sucking, 80% of ppl who posted here have been more active than you on the scene. everyone is jealous of hugi, and no one is jealous of pain, what an outstanding coincidence! hugi has managed to sink so low on scene respect that ppl are thumbing it down before even reading, you call that jealousy? get a TAC scan.

adok: keep up the change of attitude, it will take a while to get respect from sceners again but dont give up, we could use another decent scene mag in the market again to motivate ppl to contribute more.

ep: cool that you wont read or post on pouet anymore, make some demos.

dear darkindesign, umm... who the FUCK are YOU?

Quote:
You don't love it ? I don't care : I will never listen to you any more, you are lazy, bad for hugi and are never happy.

dear ep, by any chance, could the reason why people are never happy be that hugi is never good? i'm suspecting most people don't just thumb this down because it's hugi, but are capable of judging it as a production. if you want to continue writing articles with absurd conclusions and insane suggestions, not to mention bad writing style and apparently no proofreading, be my guest. chances are, you'll keep getting thumbed down as well.

it takes some skill to find the point in people's negative comments instead of just bypassing them as flaming. for example ps's big ass post earlier had a lot of good points - i'm guessing you didn't even read it.

Quote:
you don't have spent the 100 hours I spent and the hours others at hugi staff have spent too. You ignore the work behind

see, the problem is... if it sucks, why spend 100 hours on it?

Quote:
Why is nobody discussing issues of Pain, while the whole world is discussing about Hugi issues?

dear adok, one thing about the so called "real world" (you're welcome to visit it some time) is that people tend to comment on the bad stuff more than the good stuff. if something's good it doesn't need to be talked about forever, you can just enjoy the production or whatever and maybe leave a comment saying it's good. you should also know that criticism is much more useful for the author than praising comments. that's probably why i'm more eager to comment on something that needs to be worked on from my point of view, than on something that's awesome - there's not really much to say in the latter case, is there? i'm not saying pain is perfect, but in most cases it's good enough. in hugi's case i can just wonder how it's possible that e.g. even the icing on the cake like music and graphics suck in every issue. i can understand if you can't get credible writers, but the more common scene professions shouldn't be THIS much of a problem.

of course, if you agree with EP that hugi is right and everyone else is wrong, then you can just bypass the criticism and continue doing what you do. just tell EP not to act so surprised next time.

are you somehow suggesting that EP's articles have caused introspection in the readers who don't like what they see in the mirror? no, see... to continue on your path of metaphors, i really think you're that blind guy in the woods trying to find your way out, with people offering to help you. unfortunately, you think they're wrong and actually don't know the way out, but there's no one else around to help either, so you'll just end up being a blind guy in the woods. now, the big question is, if a tree falls in the woods and hits the lonely blind guy, does anyone care?

Some articles are cool, some aren't, but nobody forces anybody to read all of them. I haven't found anything too impressive for me (maybe I haven't looked good enough), but articles about demodesign are quite cool.

And I think somebody should learn how to make efficient .werkkzeug1 intros (3-4 FPS on GeForce 6800). ;)

okay, first for some general things. music is okay but not my taste, gfx are pretty okay too except for the horrible endpicture which looked like a rendering attempt from 1993 made by a colorblind person.
i was nicely surprised by the news, which were actually some REAL news for a change. seems like adok is trying to catch up with a certain recent publication. i hereby officially give a WARM THANKS for the link on the demoscene research bibliography, this one is really helping me a lot. but then, that iq test idea is erally really lame. it's a fucking insult, and the whole iq test thingie is totally dubious anyway. yes, i admit, i had to use trial-and-error to get through. so what? i more or less speak 7 languages, does it make me any dumber that i dont know some damn numbers in a row? adok, you really should get off that "idee fixe"...

but now to that outrageous retard called ep, and this is my LAST STATEMENT on him. he already proved he's a dumb moron by spamming the bbs and releaseing a really lame flame-page on me, so normally he should be worth wasting any character on him. but i just want to pick out just some things from his article where he tries to get personal on me...

here here here here here here

plus, over 30 amiga ascii collections (with ~20 logos each) since 1998. participation in over 40 pc artpacks since 1997. writing for mags such as pain, blackmarket, jurassic pack and TAC. shooting over 500 fotos for www.slengpung.com, including famous ones like for example 50% of those which where in the bp2004 invitro. and last not least, contributing nearly 1200 products to this database.

yes it's not much. i believe that a coder who has coded only one really crucial intro has done something of a more value to the scene than i did in all my scenetime. but YOU, ep, what can you show? in all your "oldschool" time you have achieved far less than me, a newbie who's around only since 1996. and yes, i have swapped too. and i agree with you that swappers are a crucial part of scene history and have been of real importance back in time. but so what? it doesn't change the fact that not only you are mis-informed about your "contrahents", you are also so naive and illiterate that from now on i'm spending no time arguing with you, because it makes no sense. one last example of that for those who don't bother to download hugi.

that's what i originally wrote:
Quote:

"socialistic realism" in the ussr from 1932 on also required from all artforms to bring on "cheerful", "lively" etc. motives.
"seeing a firm, a factory with rusty pipes, fumes, cars or geometric stuff isn't fun at all" perfectly resembles the views of stalinist aesthetics towards futurism, constructivism and other avant-garde artistic movements. [...] (by the way, EP's other article "philosophy of and[?] ideas..." carries the same spirit. the slogan "we need more life on screen" was exactly what killed the 20s avant-garde cinema in the ussr, giving birth to aesthetically dead "realistic" motion pictures)."

and how does ep counteract?

Quote:
What a futurist view, yeah!!! Hey DP, we will go walking together at Chernobyl, you will be happy near rusty pipes and with me dressed as a cosmonaut to protect myself from the radioactivity taking your hand. We will make a handsome couple. You will enjoy the artistical view of the beautiful firms which have burnt years ago, I'm sure you will see how fun it is to watch a demo with such a scenery: [...]

^^ Will do. As I said before, I apologize for writing for Hugi. In my defense, I can say that I wrote my article before Hugi #28, and just quickly wanted to get it off my hands and submitted it for #30 instead of taking the time to search for Pain's contact address.

That said, I don't think this issue was *that* bad. There's very little decent content in it, but aside from ep's insane ramblings (I didn't know he was *so* fucked up), I actuallly enjoyed some of it. But the stupid "IQ test" required to access the scene part was totally unnecessary and stupid, and alone guarantees that I won't wite for Hugi ever again.

Preacher: One question: doesn't Windows collect process memory, handles and every system resource it used when process terminates? Considering how some of my code works I should have noticed that it isn't freed, but I didn't.

btw. To lock down WinXP setting process priority class to realtime and never executing any system blocking calls is enough - this should work with WinNT/2k, too (to lock P4HT you'll need at least two threads of course).

there we have it, hugi 30 and sad enough, I think the issue still is not as good as the rather famous hugi 10-20 have been.

some nice articles by preacher, some not so interesting coding articles (how many max exporter articles do we have to endure until every last scener has written such a beast already? entro-.net articles are nice and well written but perhaps not very scene relevant..) funny optimus hysteria and last bat not last EP-mania.

I still don't get EP's point. In one article he's describing him getting in touch with the scene and all his thoughts seem coherent and clear, then there are articles like "what girls want": to cite the first three points of it:

What girls want:
* having fun: so use humour in genereal and make funny demos :) :) :)
* Having sex: they want men who love girls so don't fuck mens assholes
* Having children: this is their primary function in life
[...] I dont event want to state my opinion on those points, I think it will be sufficient to leave them commentless..
In some other article EP complains about shocking visuals some demos feature and that demos should instead be friendly and harmonic. I don't mind sceners having different tastes but all in all this very state of mind as presented through hugi 30 gives me the creeps. really.

Either this guy is doing a really great roleplaying-job in trying out how far he could go before people would start acting pissed or he must have suffered something tragic in the last 29 years...

anyway I hope Hugi magazine will get back to be really interesting soon. good luck for issue 31.

It was good... once it was good.

Better than the last, but if we except Preacher's articles and 2-3 others, this mag sucks. I would thumb it down, but i really liked Preacher's articles, so just a pigface.

I disliked the whole EP-thing. You shouldn't publish any more articles from EP, since he still keeps on that style. But you decided to add an EP-column. That's ...bad.

Most of the graphics were good, but the layout became too web-like. I prefer the column-based layout for simple articles and web-like layout for coding and other material who just can't work well with columns. Columns make the text being read easier.

And i disliked the face at the opening picture. The face alone is... ok (but it needs a different expression), but all this layerwork on it was bad.

The music was ok... listenable, i could say. At least better than the last one.

The IQ test was a dumb idea. Get over this IQ issue ASAP.

Overall, this issue was better than the last one but not as good as olders. Try harder :-)

In any case, it's worth downloading...

Next time use your "delete" button on bad articles. Also having one or two other persons decide which articles will make it into the mag is not a bad idea, even if the mag won't be out in the next two months. Better late than bad.

And also get over this "king of diskmags" thing. Right now Pain has the crown. You had it at the past, but not anymore. If you want it back, work for it.

Most graphics like title- and endpic were horrible, some were okay like f.e. the menu. Music was mostly worse, too. It is true that it's hard to get anybody to write articles for a diskmag. But it's EASY to get decent tunes and graphics! Where is your problem Adok? I can remember of real nice titlepics and okay-ish panels in previous issues of Hugi. Did you loose your taste?? Or is it more that you simply don't care anymore???!!

I really tried to read some of the articles of EP after those discussions here but I failed. After 5-6 sentences I skipped it and went to the next article in order to skip it, too.

EP: Please do a therapy on your own instead of showing us all how much problems you have with yourself, with most people and the world in general.

Some articles were nice to read, especially those about the Atari Scene & the interview with Rad Man, but unfortunatly they really get LOST by the shit that surrounds them.

I'd prefer only to see 10 articles in Hugi#31 which are all of a good quality instead of this acid slam once again. Thanks for your attention!

it's not like every IT- and computer-freak has to know this. but you, adok, are trying to play the academician every time i see you utter something non-computer-related here, and every time you fail miserably. either stick to computers and medicine or read some books (solzenicyn's "archipelag gulag" would be a good start) before you say smth just for the sake of it.

I am not downlod magazine often but I see lot of comment here so I look.

The reading of it is hard for me but the gfx and music I like. I say is ok because I dont know.
Adok, i am touched by your consideration for russian people, but in all honesty you don't know much about soviets. regardless, my comment was about american self-righteousness. pouet is hardly a place to discuss this, scene mags are definitely not the place to spew forth your views on politics, that was all that Manwe meant by his comment.

Anyway, going back on topic, I did really like old Hugi, I still read some of these issues and enjoy everything in them. But as of late, with so few good articles (i will not lie, there are good articles in each magazine, but they are juxtaposed by mindless drivel of certain individuals) and lower than old quality of graphics it makes me sad to acknowledge that hugi has dropped fair few notches.

Again, I must apologize for people (myself included) who don't take time to explain in greater detail those shortcomings that most of us see.

Have a pleasant day.

randomi: Thank you for your answer. I was referring to your Lenin avatar. Why are you using it? Is it typical of Russia's youth?

Adok: I can see your star avatar. Why are you using it? Is it typical of on top diskmag editors'?

Btw, scene parties work because there are no politics, religions, nations,... We are one big (ugly) family. Maybe you should try to kick that points out of Hugi to make it a better scene diskmag again.
adok: you only care about the elite among the gulag victims ?? geez :(

MadenMann: maybe adok is planning a Bushpoint party. Or a State of the Iraq one.

okay, finally got to it..

hugi has become the nextempire of diskmags.. they keep trying, and keep their hopes high.. but can't fess up to the reality that they're not the "king".

i really wanted to give this an ok rating. after all, there was some effort put into it. but there are too many strikes against it. the sub-par art, the dumb quiz you have to answer every time you want to read the demoscene articles, and the countless articles which all amount to pretty much the same thing: nothing. enough of the soapbox, find people who are actually doing actual things for the scene. review some more parties, and maybe even some, gasp, releases! oh yeah, and give ep his own damned diskmag.. one where a grasp of english isn't so important. "word count" charts and article sizes mean diddly squat when most of the words are nonsense!

anyway, greetings to bjerte.

phoenix, what you've written is OK. I'd like to publish more reviews of scene productions. People, write! The same goes for party reports and interviews.

1,2,4, ... what's the next number?

a) 6, primes minus 1
b) 7, difference grows by one each time
c) 8, n[i]=2n[i-1]

216: You've well showed the problem such tests have: that there is usually not only one conceivable rule. Actually the next number of any of such series could be any number, as there is always a rule that would enable any number to follow... This is also a big weakness of IQ tests. However, I know many IQ tests which don't contain any number series tasks anyway.

I like seeing that this issue was way better than the last one. The music suits perfectly and follows the times where hugi tunes were a constant member of my playlist.
The graphics could have been better, especially the contrast was not that good for reading the text in the bottom-left corner. But the slightly changed design is nice.

TADs story and the partyreports were great, the other articles are somewhat between average and less interesting.

And I think one should give a price to EP:
He managed to turn pouet.net threads into troll lairs worse than the heise.de-forum - by just writing an article with some stupid ideas in it ;D

It was much better than #29. Thank heavens, there were coding articels andb some worth reading scene-related content. I pour my thanks out to all the participants!

IQ, phhh... Hope it doesn't come to: "Enter diameter of your skull to get access". At the same time it's an interesting experiment, as e-mags are absolutly free and don't need any efforts from the reader (i'm not talking about hidden-part raiders).

EP? What's that? Don't remember anything of that kind...

dip: sorry for being a rough uneducated moron, but when i hear "GULAG" one of the first associations i get is a concentration camp. I think you could agree, Adok wasn't that wrong.

One of the worst mags I've seen in the last times! Only a VERY few articles are actually worth reading and the Austrian Scene report, well, it seems to be quite old or Adok is just misinformed... AntiByte hasn't released anything on Amiga for years and he's not part of the active Scene anymore!
Well, to summarise, I didn't like this issue, try harder next time.

I made the experiment to read R.A.W #2 and then Hugi #30 because StingRay wrote that R.A.W #2 was so great while Hugi #30 was one of the worst mags he ever encountered. IMHO both R.A.W #2 and Hugi #30 are good mags with interesting articles and also decent music/design.
